A two game losing streak here, this time we didn't lose as well as the last game. We were inferior on all fronts but were lucky enough to stay in the game thanks to a huge amount of free throw attempts.

Yau Kim Hui led the team with 21 points on 8 of 15 shooting, while Toh Choon Wah put up a magnificent double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He also rejected 4 shots, and all of them came early on in the game. Li Wai Soon continued to be dominant in the paint with 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. He also put up 8 points in an efficient 4 of 6 shooting. This game saw him break 100 rebounds and just 6 points off 100 points for this season.

Second round schedule is finally out, we face Indonesia U21 next. Let's hope everything goes smoothly!

Thanks bro! The senior NT did great too! Still got chance for HCA next season, and if we get it then it will be easier next season. Let's pray that Aussie gets upset xD

Meanwhile, it was a real miracle last night. I don't know how we won. HCA, superior team, everything seemed to point to a win for the host, but running the wrong defense allowed Abdur-Razzaq Jalil to catch fire and hit 8 of his 14 three point attempts to finish the game with 36 points. It was an unforgettable game for the guard as this was his first ever start, and he didn't hold back.

Meanwhile, Li Wai Soon also put up a fantastic defensive performance of 12 rebounds 1 steal and 4 blocks. He only managed 4 points tho, so he would still have to wait for the next game before he hit 100 points in a season.

Our next game is against Lebanon U21, another equally tough team. Let's hope lightning strikes twice xD

Our high flying season came to a halt today as Lebanon U21 pulled off a lucky win against us. Well credits to the manager for not biting onto the bluff. I thought they would be more wary after Indonesia U21 fell to our outside offense, but they took the gamble, and it paid off. Still, the absurdly high amount of free throws and absurdly high accuracy from the charity stripe was just ridiculous, and was the only reason why they could claw back into the game. Nevertheless, I don't think I deserve to complain because we have been on the luckier side for quite a few occasions this season.

Li Wai Soon picked up a double double to break 100 points milestone, and the 12 rebounds he picked up put his season tally at 126 rebounds, 24 rebounds shy of making the top 10 rebounds per season list. He also has 258 total rebounds, and will likely make it to the top 10 all time rebounds next Monday.

Meanwhile, 6 points from Toh Choon Wah ensured that he became the 3rd player to hit 100 points this season, while 7 assists by Au Huat Loong saw him break the 50 assist mark.

Our next game will be against NZ U21. It's not going to be easy, but let's hope everything will go well.

Our boys bounced back big time to claim a narrow 107-98 win against New Zealand U21. We were cruising comfortably in the first half, but a bad run in the third almost allowed our opponents to come back. Thankfully we managed to hold on to win the game.

Lim Long Kok made history today, scoring 57 points to overtake Murphy Ang's 4 year old record. It was quite a memorable moment for me - it was my first ever game in charge of Singapore U21 and Murphy (who also debuted in that game) scored 55 points against Pakistan U21 to break a 40 season old record, becoming the third ever player to break 50 points. Today, 14 seasons later, it was broken by Lim Long Kok, who shot 62% from the field and only missed 1 out of his 5 three point attempts. It was a successfully run reverse patient as we carved open the opponent's defense. Li Wai Soon also put up an amazing performance, blocking 7 shots by half-time. I'm not sure if it was a record high number tho. That said, his performance tonight puts him just 12 rebounds short of making the season rebounding chart.

We have 2 more games to go, facing behemoths HK U21 and Philippines U21. With a big win by Indonesia U21 tonight, they seem to be in the driver's seat for 3rd place. Let's hope that NZ U21 gives them a run for their money, and we manage to keep our next two losses small.

Wow, it was garbage time by the 4th quarter. Well we only put our reserves in at the final 6 minutes, but our starters sat out the whole 4th quarter. Against HK U21, 5th best team in the world. That's quite an achievement I should say. Well yea, we were the only team trying out there. They probably underestimated us too, and made some questionable choices in their lineup. But I still didn't expect the blowout.

It was an overall team effort tonight - with 5 players hitting double figures. We outrebounded them 64-50, but none of our players broke double figures in rebounds, with all but 1 player grabbing at least 3 rebounds, and the only one who didn't make that amount was Abd Jalil, who only played 5 minutes (even then he had 2 rebounds). We shared the ball pretty well too, with almost all our players who played more than 5 minutes getting at least 1 assist. The only one who did not get any assists was Ng Liang Boon. We were also miraculously good from the charity stripe tonight. With a 64% free throw percentage, we hit the second most free throws in a game tonight, missing only 2 out of 20 tries. The only time we hit more was against Australia U21, but that was from 32 tries (63%). We had a 90% free throw rate tonight.

Our next game will be against Philippines U21. We are definitely outclassed by them. Let's just hope our boys put up another amazing performance.

Thanks for the well wishes, but it's not that we didn't get good luck, we possibly had the worst luck ever. 38-19 blowout in the 3rd, while Abdur-Razzaq got injured. In garbage time, their subs (who were being owned by us early game) suddenly became super subs. What could we do, the GE just didn't want us to progress. It's impossible that a CT-TIE could still end up with a blowout, and their inferior subs could still hold off our starters. And not to forget a player with 18 JS shooting blanks against a defense that was terrorized by Abdur-Razzaq.

Anyway, our season ended here. So we'll be playing scrimmages from here on. Let's hope for better luck next season.
