at the moment we feel the advantage of winning the cup financially is approriate.. you get revenue from cup games, so those who make the finals get more revenue than anyone else in the cup. an even further advantage we feel would be too much...

agreed, if anything something like a bump in experience due to the "pressure" cup games, but there's enough financially from all the extra ticket revenue IMO.

there is also a bump in the merchandise sales after your team becomes the champ!

the current australian league champion is making almost 70k per week of merchandise (bastard!)

my guess is that for the Cup will be probably the same

heh well whatcha gonna do

the financial advantage of the cup really comes from staying in the cup until the end. you get a LOT from playing all the cup games and is a definate financial advantage against someone who was knocked out in the first round.

But I think I would guess Raonne is right because each cup game I win I seem to gain merch revenue on top of what is already high income.

Yeah I didn't post on it before but the only think I don't like is for example in Ireland we are down to the final 16 and no games I've been in have been close to selling out of half filled of a 5k stadium. I just think that alot more crowd should and would show up to a country cup and especially in the later stages

Right, winning team + home court is the best combination... Let's say, if you play away game in a cup, against a poor team who averages 15000 $ per game, you'll get 7500 $... If you get 75000 $ like me (I just started few weeks ago, and already expanded my arena by 550 seats, 500 more on the way), 7500 is nothing...

I would say, 7500 is nothing if the opponent play more than 2-3 Weeks ;)

The winning team bonus, i think is not so important ... I loose must of my game because of "take it easy", but last season i played more succesfull but i don't recognisize a break with my spectaturs therir are still raising fast.
