My inside players get fouled more + I know my guys who foul more on shots are the ones that lack something in the defence departement. Do you want to tell me that you foul behind the arc more then under the basket? If that is the case you do not have a balanced team.
My inside players get fouled more often than my 3 point shooters and that is how it should be. My OD is weaker so I foul more on JS-s (not 3-s) and not under the basket as most teams in my league are weak under the basket. The closer I see my guys making the shot the more sure I can be there will be a foul.

By the way you are really a weak team in your league as it seems. The other side of the league table is the one with stronger team if you would be at that side you would have prolly 1 win or something like that:) My point is that you prolly have weaker players + you have no idea what kind of players your league actually have...

so if i have that weak player, why they foul my players so often shooting 3s^^ Oh shit that wasn't your argumentation ;)

And my shooters are bad, because they are good passing guards ;)

PS: is see that even when our side was stronger then the other one ;) I see that on nationalteam and i see that on games of my friends - maybe i watched more games then you ;) Knowing the quality of opposing player don't necessary means that you have stronger one ;)

stop throwing around things like "a lot" and "pretty high" use some real numbers if you are going to make an argument.... how do you know that people in buzzerbeater are fouled on jump shots more than in the NBA... is there an NBA stat on jump shot fouling i haven't seen? also, what actually defines a jump shot? maybe some of the shots that the commentary describes as jump shots could simply be redescribed as something else? would that satisfy you? you need to show some numbers as to how the simulation doesn't capture the dynamic of basketball. not just throw around qualitative observations.

i would say hook shot are tried "rare"(oh my good i did it again) in the near from the 3pt line, the same goes for floaters and lay ups ... So maybe the game engine describe then wrong, and people shot pretty often with such style from the 3pt line, and good search the contact when making this shoots ...

This explains the less averages(oh no) 3pt percentages in the game, and the amount of fouls make in the backcourt. But in this case, the BB should handle the case even more ;)

Thanks for the discussion.

My point was just what Crazyeye said. Even if you are bad at OD, you should be more likely to leave the shooters open. I don't think in NBA, you see bad defenders fouling shooters a lot.

As someone said, it is just not logical that Jason Kapono can be fouled a few times a game shooting threes. If you watch Raptors games, he rarely gets fouled at the three point line, even by crappy defenders. And we know how good Jason is at JS and JR. Look up how many foul shots he has taken this season.

Anyways, I know some will disagree, but that's okay.

Jason Kapono is a nobody... It would be dumb to foul him behind the arc but it still happens.

In the 2006–07 season, Kapono's points-per-game average and minutes played significantly increased, and he led the league in three-point percentage with .514, which is close to the all time single season three-point percentage record held by Steve Kerr (.524), and is the fourth best percentage in league season history. Kapono also won the 2007 All-Star Weekend three-point shoot-out competition by defeating Dirk Nowitzki and Gilbert Arenas in the final round with a score of 24 points which tied Mark Price's record for most points in a final round of the 3-point contest.

Kapono repeated the feat in 2008, having led the league in three-point percentage going into the All-Star weekend. In the final round of the contest, he scored 25 points, tying the all-time single round record set in 1986. He also ended the 2007–08 season as the top three-point shooter in the league.

I'm sorry you missed the point. I'm not argueing that he can not shoot but he takes the shots wide open because he is not the main threat in below average raptors team hence the more open shots. But on the other hand kapono is exactly the guy who will foul the other shooters behind the arc!

No he wont. Probably he will only let the ball goes uncontested. Bad OD leaves to open shots, mainly because in the jump shot the player isnt inducing phisical contact.

On the other hand, Wade seeks it when driving into a crowd - he draws the defender to stop him by body contact, and thats a foul when isnt charging.

This is the diference.

How many times in an NBA do you see a guy get fouled shooting a 3 and how many times do you see it in BB. it happens on average for me more than 1 per game. That is for both teams. I had 1 game where i fouled the same shooter 3 or 4 times from 3.

that is the basis here.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
