20% extra sallary is feature of HT only, without similarity in real world.

"In other economic news, the worldwide downturn has reminded both players and owners that BuzzerBeater salaries cannot continue to rise forever. The best players in the game might be getting better, but the best teams aren't taking in any more money, and so player salaries will begin levelling out. Player skills will continue to develop normally, but each offseason the players union will scale salaries to match the total revenue available for them to distribute. Those who have been using salary as a proxy for overall skill should be warned that this relationship will be changing."

Is it implemented now? please write this cap. if it is not implemented then please write result of your salary cap formula for this season. We have chance to plan our transfers/salaries when we know this result only. If we donĀ“t know it then big salary player transfer is lottery only.

Sorry for my english.
Bye, Jiri

Im goign to try to add another point of view:

I think BB's are trying to fix how to pay all that overpaid players in some cases not in all.

The idea of having a player on his nt in fact of merchandising is going to help, but be realistic only the overpaids players go to the nt so its obviously that it wont help a lot just a litle bit... I think u thought that all this economy changes would help all the teams, and i think u are wrong. BB-Forrest stated it, this changes will help the litle teams because they had a lot of troubles to have a good economy during the week and there was a real imbalance beetwen big and little teams. For example a little team cant afford his star draft player with a high salary and lot of teams were forced to sell them with the old economy system so now they are helped to not selling his best player and it comes to my mind especially those who trained C or PF with 21-22 years they have big salaries.

About having players from your same country its a really good idea. For example big teams in Spain will have better options to find interesting players than one from Japan or Filipinas or little countrys for example, because there is a real imbalance between little countrys and big countrys(speaking about communities) so im really happy about the new changes in economy the game is going to be more balanced.

Do you think that it is right when 3.division teams have same level of players as 1.division teams?

vide 2. paragraph
yes, it is good for big countries. this is second time when teams from small countries are penalized - first is TV contracts. I am semifinalist of BBB last year. but I have TV Contract: $ 117 784 only. it is mock. this is "Balance" with big B .....

we never spell out formulas, we only release guiding principles. The major point of the game is trying to optimize strategy, and giving all the formulas exactly would make that a trivial task, and lots of people enjoy trying to reverse engineer them.

+1 in agreement of Marot, who is from a big country. As a member of a smaller country, I am totally happy with the new changes. We lose out in TV contracts, but have the opportunity to make it up in terms of merchandise. The subtle move to promote the local NT scene is commendable. Great job BBs!

There is nothing wrong with a division 3 team having one player of your level.
But your logic is flawed, a division 3 teams with the same level of players as you will not be in Division 3 for long.

you want us to release the change before we said we would?

we won't do that because we need to give teams time to prepare for this, we don't want to surprise people with a rule change like this. It will be released at the start of next season, its affect would be very minimal if released now anyway, the idea will be that salaries will not be changed dramatically by this new rule in terms of instantaneous change, but the evolution of salaries will change. Top players in the game have been making more and more each season, that growth of top level salary will slow/stop.

regarding whether this applies ot season salary..
what other salary is there to consider?

i would wanna know about the future salary updates. will it be like "the club got 5mio from selling players so they can pay their other players more?" on what does the formula depend?

i also think that the merchandise money from bik is a joke. we have no nba here, obviously bbb is something like the playoffs of the nba and when the finalist, a team that would be comparable to the lakers, celtics, cavs, magic has some of the best players of the world on their roster, he should earn more.
i agree though that a czech player that would make it to the starting 5 will draw more attention and sell more. would be the same in our city with a local player.

every season salaries are updated, in the past, they were growing one way and had a specific relationship to player skills.. that relationship is going to change... there will be no extra income explicitly given, the salary formula will change, that is all.

he does earn more, he's a good team, his arena sells out... to argue that he doesn't earn more than weaker teams is silly... you want him to earn EVEN more.. its a question of scale, not absolutes, lets take this argument to the next level and argue why the best teams should earn EVEN more than they do now.. or earn LESS than they earn now relative to weaker teams... does anyone have a guiding principle in their mind as to how the spread of income should be balanced? should it be 10 gazillion dollars different? 100K different?

hm yea i think im convinced. probably a good direction. i want more german players in my team too..

but how will the formula change? can i buy players that are close to the max i could afford and train them abit further lets say from 60k salary to more than 100k without paying 40k more next season? or will he freeze at 100? will the best bigman still cost you 300k and the best guards 100k ?
