That said, the idk 4-5-6 months we have been experiencing issues is a......surprisingly long time without having the issue resolved.

This is a processing capacity issue that gets compounded other issues. If they've streamlined this as much as possible, which I would assume they have, and there hasn't been investment into additional capacity I wouldn't expect this to ever be fixed and start running on schedule. Seems like a matter of how delayed training will be, not if.

had it not been better if you first tried to make the engine reliable, debug it as much as you can and only after that start to implement such crazy stuff as prediction (who the hell wants to get a close look at gazillion teams to guess gazillion / 2 results in the first rounds of B3?) and BuzzerBeta (is it working now yet? I don`t even know!).

Well the game engine is not reliable for those who dont' understand it, but the truth is that it's pretty reliable and it's the best thing this game has by far. Anyway im not going to blame you, i've read that on forums lot of times, when people dont know exactly how it works, they argue the game engine doesn't work properly(even before trying to think what went wrong). Also you are forgetting that this game engine is improving with new tactics.

About B3 contest yes, it took many time to predict the regular season games.

Working on a B3 prediction page doesn't exclude working on the match viewer or optimizing processes. Different aspects of the game require different IT knowledge. Not everyone on the team is specialized in all possible coding languages, for example.

You are excluding things that can work parallel to each other. You aren't judging the purchase department as well when the sales guy once again mispronounces the name of product he's selling.

Just a word about the training, all of the processes are running slower than expected, so things are running but not as fast as we would like it to run.

I am a user and as such I dont care why it is not working, but I do care it is not working! That is what you guys should bear in mind. This forum is full of apologies and excuses, but I dont want to read them again and again, I want the game to do what it is supposed to do - fun!

You're 100% right that I dont see it as a whole picture but why the hell should I? I am not one of you, I am your customer and I dont care that the guy who made B3 prediction cant fix the game! You know what's my answer? Fire him and hire a new one who can fix it, or rather who can make it never happen again! Your post is just another excuse, nothing more.

And as long as you are satisfied with this state, you will have to spend more time replying to such posts as mine instead of making the game more fun.

If life would be as easy as you state it is, we'd live in a perfect world. Unfortunately, it isn't.

There's nothing complex in this - I give you my money, you give me fun. And that's all that bothers me.

You sound exactly like the players that I see on MMO forums all the time:

"WTF! You just brought out 20 new costumes but Skill X is still broken! Fix the bugs before you add new features!"
"How could you add in a new zone when the login server has to be restarted for an hour a day?! The game is broken at a basic level, stop adding new stuff!"

The person that creates art for the game is not likely a coder. The person who codes SQL calls isn't the one that designs new formations to use. The person gets the game advertised on NBA.com is not the person that lets everyone finally buy a bucket in the Game Viewer.

What you're asking for is for the BBs to somehow become experts in everything and have each person be able to seamlessly fix an issue in any place in the game without it affecting any other piece of the software. What you're asking for is not only unrealistic, but impossible.

That's not to say that the server issues should not be fixed. While it didn't affect me in any material way (I didn't have a game scheduled till later today) it was still fairly annoying to have to wait hours to find out what appears to be a simple output of information. It should be worked on. But the fix won't be magical. If Blizzard with its 250+ game development team (and 1000+ Test and GM team) has entire server down times of 4-6 hours on most major patch days due to "unforeseen circumstances" you honestly can't expect a small team like this to magically fix something like this quickly. Well, you can expect it. But if you do, you're very likely to be disappointed.

I don't think it is streamlined as much as possible.
Further streamlining would include not providing a training update for bot teams.
That would probably halve the total time it takes to update the training.

Punk got the point. I've been programming since 1986 and if you don't check and double-check your code before running, you end up with malcontents. If you think your database can handle more data, you must check and double-check first before implementing extras. If you think your server can handle more users, you must check and double-check benchmark results on a similar server before expanding your game. If you can't afford this, it's better to stay small.

Older than the rest ...
