The USA offsite allowed for a similar kind of analysis, but it isn't working for me anymore as I can't load any game.

Thanks. Got to collect similar data of my own players too, as I'm building a 3-2-zone SB team, but currently have still two old school LI-centers.

only part I disagree with 1 man can run the defense. this would depend on position also exp also said defense.

I assume Sutherland is a center.? A guards(pg/sg/sf can control the whole defense) you don't need to have of the strong as Sutherland but strong enough to hold the zones.

I have never had od that high as 14.. I had 10-12. I know if you get a dynamic sf with Id 13 /sb 12/od 15 you run them off the floor pretty much. With one man

I bet this is the first time we see numbers of a dynamic SF.

I think he clearly stated he was building 18/18/18 (OD/ID/SB)...

In my league (D2), there are many people with with 50-55 OD in the 1-3 positions (including myself), some are actually closer to 55 than 50, so I'm not sure where you got the idea we're talking about a one-man-show. He mentioned one player, but his other trainees probably have seen similar developments, just on a different scale if their skills were a bit lower.

What about fictional 3-2 zone that has two "guards" (SG and SF) who have OD/ID combo 14/14 and 16/14, would that help with ID also? Would that make very top defence in combination with two bigs that have good OD (let's say 10 at least) and top ID (17 or more)? Would it be the best usage of ID of those guards or ID in those guards would not help so much?

A guards(pg/sg/sf can control the whole defense)

He can't! I have the best allround defender Buzzerbeater ever saw and even he struggles to shut down the opponents offense. The engine tries to avoid him as good as possible. Currently he's playing as a PG and he only defends 4.7 shots/game! The reason for this is that almost everytime the engine calculations "shooting or passing?" it ends up with passing.

I have never had od that high as 14.. I had 10-12

You can't compair my team with yours. You're playing in the V. division, I play in the third. Almost every team in my league has a player with JS 16+ or/and IS 15+. To stop these guys I need stronger defense than you. Your opponents have maybe JS 11 and IS 12. So your defense of 10-12 would be enough. But try playing against stronger teams and they will crush you.

I know if you get a dynamic sf with Id 13 /sb 12/od 15 you run them off the floor pretty much. With one man

This guy looks like a little kid compaired to my allround defender. And I say it once more, he can shut down a player and make his life misrable, but he can't defend two or three players at the same time.
