I thought this was great, I mean really it's an improvement over not talking to the BB's at all. What fun would it be if we new every secret about BB and everybody knew the best setup to win? The fact that they are talking to us is great to me.

I see a repeat of the same thing that Charles said like 3 seasons ago-
We need to train players with more SB and JR. SB to stop inside attacks. JR to make outside attacks effective.

The issue is players without SB and JR have signifigantly cheaper salaries.

For long term and short term planning LI MtM remains the way to go. That will continue to dominate B3 if, as you stated in your answer, the BBs are committed to never developing the GE, salary formulas or training again.

Atleast we know to keep building for LI MtM if we want to win. Thanks!

Yeah, I mean, given the same starting point, two SB pops for a big man will raise the salary as much as one ID pop, one IS pop or one RB pop, but somehow SB is the expensive one. JR costs less for a PG than passing or OD, costs less for a SF than a JS pop, and is slightly more than a JS/OD pop for a SG, but JR is the one and only culprit?

I'm not sure how far out of date the numbers are, but I went into CP and created some test cases, two big men and two guards -- all with 17 in their primary skills and 7 in the secondary. I then set one skill to be 10 instead of 17 and the results are surprising at least to me:

guard 1: 17 in all guard skills, except 10 JR, 7 in all inside skills -> $212308
guard 2: 17 in all guard skills, except 10 DR, 7 in all inside skills -> $225755

center 1: 7 in all guard skills, 17/17/17/10 inside -> $260954
center 2: 7 in all guard skills, 10/17/17/17 inside -> $167936

I wonder how much of this is a self-fulfilling prophecy; 2-3 zone and outside shooting don't work because SB/JR are not trained because they're "too expensive" and they're "too expensive" because they don't work.

Thank you BB-Martin! Great answers! Thanks for spending your time to this :) This gave me so much hope in fighting against LI MtM.

I can't see how youre are the victim here ?You are int the one of the smallest nations ,youve got no competition right now Sharman rebuilding.You can train whatever you like player without sacrificing games,You tank money eazy.You play LI/M2M,And how is that bad for you and how that doesn make you competitive ?You've pointed out you tank money and can build team easily/efficient.So do whatever it takes and stop bitching about everything.

If you take a triple-17 Center and add SB of 17, of course the salary is unbearable. But the salary for 17-17-17-7 Center is the same as 12-17-17-17. Did you think of that? To compensate on IS, you can add some more Passing and Jump shot (again for the same salary) and you get a C that can play Motion/Princeton/R&G and defend LI at the same time!

Instead of thinking of SB just in one way - how it affects salary if you train EXISTING players - you rather have to think how to build a new player with SB in mind.

Same with JR: let's say you have a killer PG without shooting skills and he already has a 200k+ salary. Then you add JR to the mix and he jumps to 300k+ salary. Well of course! If you want to build a Michael Jordan+Steve Nash+Reggie Miller, of course this will cost you dearly. And this is IMO the most realistic point. If you're an NBA manager, you can't build a starting five of Chris Paul/Kobe Bryant/Kevin Durant/Kevin Love/Dwith Howard, now can you? But you want to do that here and you complain because you can't? Maybe you want something this game can't offer?

He's supposed to be kinda "politician" when it comes to informing us about this game. If he'd tell us everything precisely, he would destroy all fun of exploring, finding out yourself, testing and so on in BB.
For sure Martin isnt lying to us, but he just has to keep up the excitement here so to say. Revealing the whole code would stink.
And the fact that he answered so many of those questions in any way in the first place, is a great job (considering everything else he has to do).
