i thought you said that a guard with much driving will crush a guard with less ID,

not how likely they are too take a layup.

Aren't those two issues related though? If a guard never drives to the basket, they'll never score a layup. In basketball, once a person has driven past his man to the hoop, it's usually too late to stop the layup (unless you name is Dwight Howard and you rotate over to defend).

i'm just saying that the main purpose for driving isn't layups

this is what i would say too, however somehow I have the feeling that driving is connected to inside shooting, because my guards miss a hell off a lot driven shots and although the skills for my guards arent that high in general, I am certain they are very high for my league... They are prominent, prolific and proficient.

Does your opponent SG have a high level of inside shoot? If not, then you don't need to worry about your SG's inside defense. Because even if your opponent SG plays inside and has a good driving ability, he can't get points with a poor inside shoot.
Generally, your opponent SG does not have high inside shoot, so your own SG does not need to have high inside defense.
