OK, Thanks for the input. I think I'll go for a 5 just to be on the safe side & let that play out for a season or so.

I have looked at your team and it seems you have purchased a lot of young players who arent that good.

I would suggest a 6 Coach to try and catch up in your league and maybe develop those players into something worthwhile!!!

I would respectfully disagree vehemently with Carl Future. Level 6 is unnecessary for 54000 teams in this game. Maybe more.

I dont believe you can pass such a generic view, it really depends on a case by case basis.

Pistons 3 are in the top division of Wales, with a Team that belongs in the 4th or 3rd Div in England. He has many youngstrs in his team and will be turning over a larger profit than in normal circumstances.

In this scenario he will need to try and catch up with the top teams in Div 1, and although he will lose around $60,000 per week by getting a 6 coach, I believe his finances would still allow him to make Good Money and have the benefit of a 6 Coach.

I do agree , a 6 Coach is not for everyone, infact not for the larger % of teams , however, there is a requirement and indeed it does make sence in some cases.

Like I said, I respectfully vehemently disagree with you that Pistons#3 is a team that would benefit from having a level 6 trainer. First of all, there is absolutely no reason why a d. 1 team should have an arena of 5250 seats. He should take the money he is considering spending on a ridiculously overpriced level 6 trainer and get 50 luxury boxes, 500 courtside, 3000 lower tier, and 10000+ bleachers. Then he should decide if he wants to train guards or big men, sell the 18 year olds of the positions he doesn't want to train and buy some older more experienced players. Then, because most of his youngsters are of average potential- Marzano and Greid being the two players he should be focusing his trainingon IMO- he should not worry about a level 6 coach, but go with a level 4 at a much lower price and a very similar result rate.
That is my opinion of this case.
And, that is what makes this game so much fun. There are a lot of different opinions on how to play it.

if the level 6 coach is a good decision for him, it will be for all other managers too ;) because in this case you will get your investment(salary and buying) back through training, but i doubt it.

As you rightly say, Opinions are what we are basing the discussion on.

From the purchases Pistons 3 has made, I would suggest he is taking a different route to the top, as in creating his team. This is based on the fact he has youngsters across the board.

I agree with the strategy as I think the route to the top is different from when the longer standing Managers got there, as the competition was not as great back then.

I can see that the route you talk about may / would work, but also believe there is more than one option to achieving the obhectives.

i havent looked at his team but if all his players are young maybe he can do the bb world a service and become the first coach ever to spend a whole season doing team training on js jr rebounding 1 on 1 and passing

would be really useful information and the BBs provided it as an option lets find out if it is worthless like everyone seems to think
