Yeah I agree, if he is winning games, keep the price the same for the bleachers. If he is not doing well in the league, and he isn't winning many games, then he should drop his prices to 10. He should also significantly drop his prices for Luxury Boxes.

i don't think that is a good solution, even if he "normally" loose his games.

i do some math to clarify my point:

After a lost game:

7100 * 11 = 78.100$ vs 8000 *10 = 80.000

+ 1900$ for cheaper price in the ebst case(selled everything)

After a win(+10% attendance which i think is very low):

7870 * 11 = 86.570$ vs 8.000 *10 = 80.000

- 6570 $ against cheaper prices

This means he need a win in 25% of the cases before his homegame, to earn more money through it. And i am pretty sure that his last game would be selled out with a win.

That is his attendance history. He is 5th in his league with 10 wins and 7 losses. Out of his last 8 games he has won 6, but he lost his last 2 games.
The section in bold above is his last home game before any recent losses. Prior to this match he had won his last 4 games. This is a decent winning streak, and yet he is still only selling around 7100 seats. So winning 1 match isn't going to make him suddenly sell more seats. The information above shows that even if he is winning 4 or 5 games in a row, he isn't selling more than 7100 seats. So why not lower your prices slightly and almost be gauranteed to be selling out all 8000.

i have trouble to explain this match, but maybe take a look at my history, and such behaviour is quite normal ;)

I understand what you are saying and in theory I agree, but it just doesn't seem to match what is happening to him, which is why I suggested for him to lower his prices.

Even looking at your arena history, would you consider lowering your arena price to about 16. I think you would make more money then.

16 is to much, if they weren't the PO next month i would go for 19 maybe 18.

Yeah forgot about playoffs. The reason I suggested 16, was because you seem to be selling around 8000 quite often (with the occasional 11000/12000). I thought if you lowered the price to 16, that regular 8000 might become a regular 13000.

In my case, i believe the situation is SEAT SUPPLY>FANS DEMAND.

As there are still empty space in courtside seat & luxury box, reducing the bleachers ticket price will cause lesser people to buy higher grade (more expensive) seat, finally the revenue will have just a small difference or getting worse, since my ultimate goal is to develop high end audience to consume my high graded seats.

NOW - last 2 games lost, expecting next game sit-in people will be lesser
bleachers: 7000 x $11 = $77,000
lower tier: 970 x $40 = 38,800
courtside seat: 152 x $145 = $22,040
luxury box: 8 x $1000 = $8,000
total = $145,840

IF LOWER PRICE - last 2 games lost, expecting next game sit-in people will be lesser
bleachers: 7500 x $10 = $75,000
lower tier: 940 x $40 = 37,600
courtside seat: 145 x $145 = $21,025
luxury box: 8 x $1000 = $8,000
total = $141,625
