i dont know about lucky, two pretty evenly matched teams. Though, germany has a noticeably better starting PG and center, and held at least a slight edge at every position.
bit surprised push-the-ball was the winning tactic though. figure even on boards the US would have earned an edge by running a normal paced offense and getting better shots compared to a fast paced one.
