My 25 yr old big has popped twice in ID, twice in IS and one rebouding, JS,JR and handling...
My 27 yr old SG has popped twice in passing, JS, and handles...not to mention I crossed trained him and got a rebounding, IS, ID pop...26 is too old...what?

Except that player values on the TL are not equal to player values in performance anymore. No one wants to buy a 26 or 27 year old player for what he is worth. So why not just keep him on my team and continue to watch him improve, albeit more slowly than a younger player. I couldn't replace either of the two players I mentioned earlier with the money they would bring in on the TL.

Well that is very impressive. Now I don't have a 27 year old guard to compare but I do have a 27 year old 6'10 C. Using the Hungarian NT database it would take him 10.38 weeks to get a IS pop and 9.32 weeks for an ID pop and he is a lot taller than your guard. I do have a 6'2" 24 year old guard and accoring to the database it would take him 5.49 week to get a JS pop, 3.29 for a handling and 7.34 weeks to get 2 passing pops. This is all single position with a level 6 trainer. Now in every single case your guy would train MUCH slower than the guys I have used as examples. Obviously things like you say can happen but it is because of high sub-levels not because of your "amazing training routine" that allows you to get 35-40 weeks of pops in 14 or less.

I hope I can get similar results but as next season I am considering to keep on training my 23 (will be 24) year old SG and if he gets 6 pops next season like your guy I will be over the moon. However he hasn't had a pop for the last 9 weeks this season and may be capped which is another issue.

1st..I wouldn't put too much into a database unless it was made by the BB's themselves.
2nd..Lot's of training is linked...I trained my SG in OD( pressure)(pressure trains ID) for 6 weeks and then gave him two weeks of ID when he was 26.. 2 pops in OD and 1 pop in ID....I also gave him 4 weeks of 1 on 1 F's which trains IS at 5 weeks, with the two weeks of ID..woo laa..an IS pop..The rebounding pop was just luck..he was injured and came back on a Thursday morning and I gave him 48 minutes of Rebounding training...
It is just sad that people give up on 26 yr olds...

It is more than sad it is tragic. Just one more pop on one of your star players is worth much more than 2 or 3 pops on some 18 year old trainee who you will probably sell before he ever plays a meaningful game. My problem is my player is both old and possible capped. 9 weeks since his last pop at age 23. He is my last original player from my startup team. He is my favourite player. For seasons he has been my best player. Sigh, time for me to move on.

With salary cutting in previous two seasons, my guess would be 160k at most.

You probably meant Perennial Allstar, but also for that potential I wouldn't say 80k, more like 90-110k.

However with two salary cuts in the last two seasons these numbers are way too high if they weren't way too high to begin with. I can give you 3 examples of allstar guards that are believed to be capped.

Oliver Ðuričko (11263596) Shooting Guard Weekly salary: $ 29 664 9 weeks without a pop. Not even close to $60-80,000.
Dave Hamilton (10839527) Shooting Guard Weekly salary: $ 41 103
John Urwin (9744575) Shooting Guard Weekly salary: $ 39 012

All 3 of these guys salaries will probably go up a little bit this offseason but none are geting in the same universe as $80,000. Maybe $80,000 could work for a C with all atrocious outside skills and all high inside skills.
