Use your game against SkyzDaLimit as a gauge of your team's progress. If you beat him easily, you have nothing to worry about in your league. Save the money and build your arena.

You can get transfers for dirt cheap during the playoffs. They won't be able to play until the next season, but prices are crazy low during this time.

I think you're overplaying the toughness of D.4. Just by managing gameshape and enthusiasm, you'll avoid relegation in most leagues.

Irrelevant? Psh. National rankings are irrelevant. Koperboy gave the best advice on the thread.

The match ratings suggest Jason's team doesn't have a whole lot of competition. His defense is miles ahead of everyone else.

Sure, but there is plenty of time to buy a player. Wait till closer to the playoff, save money and buy then, if necessary.

It's probably good advice if it works. If it doesn't, it's the worst advice ever.

If you are sure you will win the league with your current roster, it would be a waste of money to buy two big men.

I don't think I have to add anything else than this.

And as he waits, he gives the other teams in his league hope, that with just a little investment, they can overtake him, and by the time he does invest in a new player, there are two or three other competitive teams. Or he could buy a player now, and crush that hope before it grows.

It's like telling someone never to buy an umbrella, because it's not raining NOW.

Or he lulls them into a false sense of security and he can crush them with one or two expensive picks who will serve him into the next league rather than frittering away his money on players who will only contribute in this league.

If you live in the desert, you never have to buy an umbrella.
