I saw many teams loosing on purpose the last match so that they get the 5th and have no chance of entering the playoff. In fact, both 5ths in my league did that.

So, If you rather prefer to not enter the playoff than enter in the 4th or 3rd place, don't you think there is a big problem? Yes, there is . And we all know is a financial problem. So I don't see any "negative aspect" in balancing the incomes of the team who made the playoff. It HAS to be done.

I think its more of HCA being overpowered in combination with finances.

Teams hovering around 3rd-6th, look at their rosters and look at the top 2 teams and if it is close at all realize that HCA gives the win to the other team. Then instead of trying to pull off some cinderella story they are happy to aim for 5th and collect more cash for the next season.

Basically, I think that if the effect of HCA was reduced during the PO(or in general) then it could lessen tanking for 5th(although not erase it by any means).

yeah I think it is, 3rd and 4th are undervalued. last season in V.21 USA two years in a row their great 8 has two last seeded teams reach the finals: S19 it was the Green Grove Lasers and then in S20 it was Charlotte Sabres. In V.89 It was me taking in the final spot and then went to the finals. I mean 4th Place is low, but it something! Buy players is all you need, and you could pull off some stunners I agree lessening HCA could make it more manageable for upsets like seeing upsets rather than blowouts

NOT in the leagues I mentioned. I had to buy like, 4 10kers to get to the championship, and so did the other forth seeders. So it's not $5k 5k players are 1 skilled guys

V.21, V.89 are some of the toughest D5 leagues I've seen..........(In USA)

sorry about it but I had to get the monkey off back I know you were sarcastic.

Yes I know it's hard to do that in these D3/D2/D1 USA leagues but it's still possible, trust me save up cash in the bank everyone

It's still not the same. In the higher divisions, the gap between 1st and 4th is much bigger. Take III.5 for example. The #1 seed had around a 300k salary, while the 4th seed had around a 170k salary. That kind of a difference isn't made up easily, unless you have a couple million dollars lying around and that's unlikely.
