What I understood a BB came back to do some cosmetic changes? After all it took years to get this change, so maybe in a few years we will get some female staff, who knows.

Maybe because you all jumped down the posters throat quite aggressively.

As for my take so as people do not misunderstand. If there are female staff cool, if not oh well. I am not offended by it either way since this is a fictional basketball world.

But I can empathize with why Poster feels attacked and won't post on forums again.

Aggressively? Attacks?
Defend yor ideas, be firm on your position and express your point of view after hearing the other person’s point of view are part of a normal discussion.
I don't expect him to agree with me.

Agree. Some people are just more sensitive though. you never know xD

I don't think it's fair to characterize BuzzerBeater devs as sexist, but it was a bit of an oversight that female staff members weren't added.

That being said at the time of BuzzerBeater's creation the female presence, particularly in the NBA, wasn't as visible in professional basketball. For serious basketball fans the perception of what the composition of an NBA staff and hiring process has changed because of people such as:

1.) Becky Hammon (Assistant coach of the Spurs)
2.) Nancy Liberman (Previously head coach of Kings D-Leauge affiliate, now assistant coach of Kings)
3.) Chelsea Lane (Warriors trainer seen here: (https://vine.co/v/iUXn0XLLF7m))

Women are in the professional basketball workplace and their presence will only grow in the coming years.

My understanding of the current situation with BuzzerBeater is that there is very limited development resources. I understand the pragmatic reasoning of delegating those finite resources to important changes.

However, to a person who holds diversity in high regard, I can definitely understand why Perpete and LOPO's responses seem offensive.

Imagine if BuzzerBeater was made in the social climate of 65 years ago. Black players such as Chuck Cooper, Nat Clifton and Earl Lloyd were breaking the color barrier in the NBA and BuzzerBeater had been created with solely white players. A person gets on the forum and posts, "Hey, could we get some players of African descent in this game?" And the response was, "A lot [of work] for, honestly, not a big addition." and "...having only white characters in a game isn't racist or discriminatory towards black people." We would look at those comments and think, "WTF was wrong with those people? I would never be like that."

I don't think anyone is trying to be silenced. Might want to tone down the language though to give yourself a better shot at being heard.

Does it matter if my trainer/doctor/pr staff is male or female? Not really. I can't even tell you any of their names or nationality. I can tell you their level and if they have a special skill or not. I think that's the point for not taking the time to add face and name generators for women as staff members. Very few, if any, will notice for a cosmetic effect that doesn't have much gain for the game.

The cosmetics for the court are noticed by anyone watching a game and are something that people have to buy supporter in order to lose.

In short, I don't care who my staff members are since that isn't why I'm playing the game.

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.
