I personally think that the MVP award should go to Kawhi Leonard mainly because hes is an ideal two way unstoppable force and is the best player on the 2nd best team in the League.
Curry and Lebron James who are probably the best two players in the league, wont rack up many votes despite being on the best teams in their conferences, mainly due to sharing the ball with superstars and very high expectations from their previous seasons which make their current seasons which are definitely MVP worthy ones,a step down from their peak years.

However, i think Jmaes Harden who is having an amazing offensive season will probably get the nudge over Russ because of his team's better position as the history of the award suggests.
Needless to say i think its probably the most wide open race for the MVP, with Gordon Hayward,John Wall and Isaiah Thomas putting up career years to lead their team to a very respectable position in the standings.

Well said. +1

COACH D'ANTONI (to Harden): Say it with me...DEFENSE
HARDEN: D...E...
CROWD: DE-FENSE! DE-FENSE! DE-FENSE!
COACH D'ANTONI: See! Listen. DE-FENSE...DE-FENSE...Got it?
HARDEN: De...de...De-stroy them offensively?
COACH D'ANTONI (shrugs): Ah hell! Sure, why not.

Although it's unfair to LeBron that everybody got so used to his greatness and he may be the real MVP, it's also true that his team has the highest payroll ever so I would go with another option.

That would be Kawhi, the best defender in the league, the only all star in the 2nd best team in the NBA, one of the best offensive players right now.

What really makes me laugh is that people say that Westbrook's team mates are trash, but nobody predicted Houston above OKC at the beginning of the season. Now not only is Houston above OKC, but they will have around 10 wins more AND they have the 3rd best record in the league behind the Spurs and Golden State.

To me it's fairly simple: the best player on one of the best teams in the league. And going by that, OKC will have a significantly worse record than any of the other candidates.

Isnt Westbrook padding his rebounding stats a bit? I dunno... I guess all 3 mentioned are pretty deserving, but if the game´s on the line, id take LeBron over anyone else... hes still the best player, but Kawhi is closing in fast.
