I agree with the rest, it's not a really good idea.

And with those charts you made… I could make a player with every skill legendary by less than 300k. I know that it's just an example, but it should be put more expensive than if you just go to bids, because if not no one would bid.

His idea may not be a good one but at least he is trying to positively affect the game. If you comment on someone else's suggestion there should be something constructive about it, not just you being negative. You can disagree with someone's idea all day, but when you say someone else's idea is nonsense and then following it up with an equally bad if not worse idea you only make yourself look like an a-hole and you add poison into an otherwise intelligent buzzer beater community.

As someone else already mentioned, Overbidding is not a solution. Creating your own player is not a solution either since the teams at the very top in every country would indefinitely remain there since they'd have the most money to just continually create 18yr olds that have maxed out stats like players already in their 30s. The current bidding system isnt without flaw but it works well enough for now.

Just have a little more tact if your going to comment on other peoples post.

I like that idea a lot better, there have been times where I went ahead and bid the max amount I was willing to pay just because I didn't have all day to sit there in a bidding war with someone.

Exactly, thank you. People online just have zero courtesy sometimes. If someone likes the game and wants the game to get better and draw more people in you should welcome suggestions. Much better just to explain why something won't work rather than acting like a jerk. Thanks Naeem for understanding.

Or the seller just could add price, for which the player could be bought right away, not waiting for the deadline.

In another managerial game I play... there are different kinds of methods to bid a player/anything that BB may add to its current Bid War method: and the Idea is to make it possibe for a Manager to use an autobid system by paying a service charge for it and/or Tax the total Bid Price after a successful transaction..

an online Manager can also join the bidwars of the offline (but on autobid service)

Autobid wars can start their bidding by adding their bids by 10K every 30 secs if they don't have the top bid... just like in the Monopoly Board game bidding system...

here's a quote to the the mechanics of their system:

If you want to change your offer you will have to delete it and make a new one and pay for it again
You can make public, semi private and private offers if you are in a Pro, Master or Elite group

A public offer can be seen by everyone together with the name of the manager who placed it, a semi private offer can be seen by everyone without revealing the name of the manager who placed it, a private offer will be completely invisible until the deadline for the next staff decision

A public offer will cost you $500.000, a semi private offer will cost you $1.000.000 and a private offer will cost you $1.500.000

with no thoughts of promoting my work (as if it is worth of promotion at all ) couple of years back I've created one helper java app, started with just sending messages to NT players owners, but then added an option for bidding players that are set for sale

tech stack was mostly java and webdriver, code is a mess (to say it politely) but I'm not a dev. However, if someone finds it useful to work on it, please go ahead fork it or copy it completely.

EDIT:
this is what the player purchase looked like
