No it's a different position. So wow, there's 2.

i just realized how wussy my team is

by rating

i have the #1 player (even if he's mildly overrated, he cant get a sniff of the nt even though hes the 2nd highest rated player in the COUNTRY)

i have the #7 player as well in the league

and I have the #34 player (Jonah Clement)

By definition, there are 16 teams in the league. if you had to do an entire draft of players and only knew the rating...

i have two early first round picks, and a very early third round picks

and its not like i dont have depth either. patrick means is rated as 81st best
Bert De Maseneer is rated 57

Thats a pretty respectable top 5.

I realize my small fowards suck (a remedy i am fixing... i have a secret long term plan), but you think with 2 of the top 10 players in the league and an elite 3rd banana, i coulda done better.

what are your regrets about this season?

The problem I have with ranking players by their average rating is that a player's rating is highly dependent upon their game shape. (Look on the first page of any player's stats and his first two games are usually lower than the rest.) This tends to penalize teams with fewer players (~10), as the game shape of their star players can be ruined by too many minutes. This is particularly true during long Cup runs.

That said, I have the #2 & #8 rated players in the league.

what are your regrets about this season?

Losing in the 4th round of the Cup playing TIE. I knew I should've normaled that game and didn't because I wanted the enthusiasm for league games. What a waste: I never really used the enthusiasm, as I only normaled twice in the entire regular season, and one of them was an accident (sorry, Apollos).

I also regret many of my training choices during the season, but I'll keep those to myself.

My biggest regret was not addressing what has obviously always been my team's weak spot - defense and rebounding - during the offseason and through the transfer list. I also made a few bad enthusiasm decisions, ones that weren't helped by crappy decisions in the cup.

Next year will be different though, as it looks like I'll win my relegation game pretty easily.

Wow.

That game was a heap of crap. I can't imagine how pissed you must be. Tie game, 6 seconds to go, you get the rebound, go down the court, and let the flippin' clock run out??

If you have time, and really watch that game, you just might have a handful of events worthy of the Bugs forum.

Edit: And congrats to Yjet, who earn another season here. Seaslugs-Shock Wave are tied at 1.

Well, I made the finals, mostly due to PP playoff normalling. Ecstatic to be here considering my preseason goal was 5th place in my division.

Now, to get destroyed in the finals.

Thanks. I was hoping to get through to the finals this season, but that obviously didn't happen because of my putting little effort into improving my inside game.

Let's just hope next season is different.

Um, I playoff normaled.

And you'll likely win Game 1 because of too many minutes to my starters against TWSS.

Congrats on making the finals

I think this is a fault of many guard trainers, not just your team. No matter how good your perimeter shooting is, you're going to miss ~50% of your shots, and someone is going to rebound those misses. You improve your chances of winning if that someone plays for your team.

Sorry.

Well that was painful to watch, I didn't think I had a chance but to be that close reeeeeally hurts.

Just kidding, apparently it's a known issue. Still can't fathom how I can't get a shot off in 6 seconds with an outside game that scored 85 points. Oh well.
