I know that , but I still think height should matter because It would be more fun the more realistic it is. And 5'11 against 7'3 is like Earl Boykins going for a dunk on Tim Duncan it aint happening.



in germany a 1,84 Center/PF(heigth was taken from a TV team), is going to get the best rebounder of the first leagues the third time in a row. He also was the most effective player, and the 1.84 are with shoes ;) And don't think he score with Jumpshots a lot, he actually shoots 1-17 § pointer in 32 games and thats quite normal for him(maybe he takes less)

So impossible is nothing.

So you are saying Defense should be directly related to height? Speed and quickness is as much a factor in defending as height is, and smaller players tend to have more of it. Spud Webb won the slam dunk contest and he is what...5'6" or something like that? I am 6'7" tall, does that mean there is no way Spud would be able to guard me or dunk on me? Not likely, he is a basketball player, I am just tall.

Only in Barkleys book is he 6'4" tall. In every sports listing he is listed as 6'6", and I believe the latter is more accurate. 6'6" is still small for the position he played, and played well.

Seriously I think this should end the argument. Dwayne wade had over 100 blockS this season. He blocked more shots than guys like Dunacan whio is about 7'1. In the current playoffs wade has blocked more shots than Yao Ming who is 1 whole foot taller than him. Nobody is complaining...

Seriously you guys changed what I said , I think height should have at least a minimum effect in the game as like making it harder for the other PF or C to score or making it slightly easier for blocks.BTW Nate blocked Yao once not like three times .

smaller centers have it much harder to compete with bigger guys, because they get less training. So you will see soon thtat big guys have an advantage, and in this way is matters since the second week of the career of a center.

Seriously get it through you thick scull... Height influences training. So basically height will influence a lot of future games (if you train your player). You will see a lot of different height players dominating the lower league scrub teams. Below ~5k salary guys. The more you move up in salary the less 5.11 centers you will see. It's exactly how it should be.

OMG I know height affects training im just saying thats it should also have a natural effect in a game.Like a 5k salary C 7'1 vs a 5k salary C 5'11 , the 7'1 could get a little edge . Can you get that through your thick skull?

I disagree with you, too. There is no reason a Shawn Bradley should have any advantage against a Dwayne Wade. Train your Bradley to a Shaq, and you'll see your effects. Don't train him, and watch him get blocked by Nate Robinsons and get dunked in the face by Rudy Fernadez.

That's as easy as it is...

Yeah I agree. It is a skill thing.

Rebounding isn't about height and jump. Otherwise Dennis Rodman wouldn't have been as amazing as he was. The game doesn't have stats for jump, athleticism etc..

I like the current system.

Oh and about Barkley who can keep up with his height. He was listed at 6'10" in his rookie year.

in this case i like to say, that big guys shouldn't have an training advantage anymore, and in the end the efect is the same with the difference that you can't see who is the strongest anymore ;)

Now you could watch after a prominent rebounder on the transferlist, and if you buy him he is prominent.

Edit: and won't you think, the 7"3 guys should get an higher salary, when he brings more effort? So you had to change alot to fit it to your sufggestion, and in the end the 5k$ 5"11 eleven center is still as good as the 7 footer, but he has higher skills which makes player hard to compare.

I think the difference here is the level of play. Try to look at some games from Div 1 teams and you will rarely see 5+ foot centers (If there are). This is because usually the players have skills in around sensational - legendary and it is not efficient to train a short player in center skills up to those levels. I believe this is the difference that we see in leagues like NBA and others.
