as kozlo write, for foreign player names they use name datas from this countries. So if you have a an american kids with chinese (grand) parents, the names comes from the chinese data base.

There have been some problems with the name bases in some Eastern European countries that were fixed back in Season 4. Unfortunately, changes are not retroactive so players like this one who were drafted in Season 3 have not been fixed.

Consider it a rare curiosity. The Bulgarian NT features a prominent center named Nathan Morris.

the german databased also have some weird "origin" names, but this makes the game funny and matches good to the faces in my eyes.

Hey, think about players who acquired another citizenship when they became 18, or players born in a country from parents from another one...
First two examples that come to my mind are: Anthony Parker - France
Carlton Myers - Italy
