because the game holds more facets then just players and playing.
..and the game holds more facets then just arena building which is where this was going.
I don't think that can ever be true. If managers spend all their money on the arena, and never on players, or anything else, they will never be succesfull, since it is the players who have to perform in the games, so eventually managers will always need to buy players, or invest in players anyway, since they are the key in winning games.
Everything else (except the players) are not needed to win games. So I think they should
stay important in the game too, otherwise the features will die.
Now, I know everyone will still have to expand at least a little. It is just that it has been limited now, and I can't see why it had to be.
Since there seem to be managers who did manage to expand enough, it realy isn't impossible. You just need to say no to a player once in a while and invest that money in the arena to keep up. Is it THAT hard to say no to a new player once you have some spare money?? I realy can't see why users need to be helped against overspending on players. The most fun thing here is that you just need to be carefull not to spend more money then you can afford. If bigger arenas alow you to spend more money, then everyone is free to build them.
Normally you need to first look and see if you can afford a players' wage, and then buy him, not buy him and then notice you can't afford him, and also don't want to sell him again...
But that's just my opinion ofcourse.
I'm sure BBs have a good reason for this, but I don't have to like it. ;)
I can just talk for Belgiums few highest divisions, since I'm not familiar with others, but I think the majority will love the new situation, so probably most of the BB players will love it too, which ofcourse is always the goal.
They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.
