Lets stick to the stats, I will restate them again.

NBA
Team Draft Picks FA or Waivers Trade Total
ATL 4 9 2 15
BOS 3 5 7 15
CHA 3 3 9 15
CHI 4 5 4 13
CLE 4 4 7 15
DAL 0 7 8 15
DEN 1 4 10 15
DET 8 5 0 13
GSW 6 5 3 14
HOU 3 2 10 15
IND 5 3 5 13
LAC 4 6 3 13
LAL 6 6 2 14
MEM 4 5 6 15
MIA 2 9 4 15
MIL 6 3 6 15
MIN 5 3 7 15
NJN 2 7 6 15
NOR 0 5 10 15
NYK 3 5 7 15
OKC 7 1 7 15
ORL 4 3 8 15
PHI 8 2 4 14
PHX 2 7 5 14
POR 4 5 6 15
SAC 7 2 5 14
SAN 7 3 3 13
TOR 3 6 6 15
UTH 6 4 3 13
WAS 7 1 7 15
Total 128 137 169 434

So for the NBA only two teams have no draft picks, one has one, three have two, five have three, seven have four, two have five, four have six, four have seven and two have eight.

So for the NBA the range is 8, the median is 4.5, the mode is 4 and the mean is 4.266666666666.

I can't do stats for all the top leagues in BB, but I would specualte it is more like a range of 6, median of 1 mode of 0 and mean of 1.5 based on the two leagues I do know Australia and India and most of those are worthless 3k scrimmage scrubs or players from the dim dark past that are no loner important. How many players have their star as the player they drafted like Chicago, Miami or OKC? (If we had this discussion a season ago we could have added in a ton of extra teams like Cleveland, Charlotte, Denver and Orlando) I will be willing to bet it is very rare.

You are wasting your time with stats.
You will get the same not-relevant general answers.

There is no mistaking that almost any team has young (draft) players that it trains.
There is no need for the statistics to show it.
It is ridiculos that a BB-managing game will become an eBay-game (at most) on the first division, and it is even more ridicolus that some are fighting to keep it this way.

As I read here more than once, some of the old user got so bored with that, that they tanked intentionaly to a lower league for realy experiencing the world of BB-managing (which to remind all, is what this game suppose to be about).

The only objection they have can be summarized as - It will not suite our team, and by that may affect their overall performance comparingly.

And you base your assumption on what? All I´ve seen from you so far is ignoring other people´s positions and trying to disqualify ANY other opinion than your own as "you´re just afraid to lose your position". Pretty one-way discussing, and pretty infantile.

There´s PLENTY reasons to be for or against any proposal. Actually, we can turn the knife. Maybe your only reason to post all those millions of change suggestions is envy. You´re simply jealous and impatient. Prove otherwise.

And don´t hit me with "you don´t want to lose your position" bullshit. I don´t have no position, I am NOT an ancient team. I´m posting quite alot SERIOUS suggestions about things I see as "improveable" while FOLLOWING discussions and talking to other users. So most of my suggestions are really based on my observance of peoples´ opinions, opposed to your constant "new players keep leaving because of ..." (and I still wait for ANY sign of relevance that the opinion you keep posting here over and over is anything but your own).

I´d really appreciate your input if you would stop insulting everybody not sharing your point of view the way you are. Stop ignoring other peoples opinions, and stop pretending that "but I´m right" is the way to settle an argument. Whenever data is against you (which happens quite alot), it´s "don´t bother with statistics", on the other hand you come up with numerous subjective observations and once YOU present any stats, they are right by default? Start DISCUSSING.

As usual.
Lots of words, but no content...

Have you provided a reason why it should not work? NO

Is it a relevant BB-managing feature? YES

If that would have been set today, would you lose from that? YES

but in the nba the chanche of having an player from the own draft is 1 of 30 or maybe 32 if we consider the undrafted, that a player is from the own draft.

In BB is it around 1 of 50000, and the possibility that the draft you like is not in your league draft is also considerally higher ;)

Also did you consider traded picks as trades or draft?

Any player whose draft rights were traded has been designated as ACQUIRED VIA TRADE and not via the draft.

And still the numbers are very high.

Summary no matter if there are 50,000 BBteams or 50,000,000 it should still be possible to draft and train your own player most seasons if you really wanted to just like in the NBA.

Actually even in NBA most teams dont develop their own franchise players. There´s only a few superstars who actually play for the team that has drafted and developed them, so IMHO this comparison sucks big time. The percentage of rookies getting traded during their first 5 years of contract is quite high.

Boston - Paul Pierce
LA Clippers - Griffin
Sacramento - Evans
Chicago - Rose
Orlando - Howard
OKC - Durant
Washington - Wall
Portland - Aldridge
Miami - Wade
Atlanta - not sure if it is Smith or Horford
San Antonio - Tim Duncan
Indiana - Granger
Milwaukee- Bogut

That is just off the top of my head.

Looks like you are simply and plainly wrong.

I think you even forgot Kevin Love. But that´s exactly what I´m talking about. that´s like 1 / 15 of the players (in a closed market - we have an open market here). And guys like Granger, Wall etc. remain to be on our focus in that list, because those are most like the players who get "canned" once the team decides that it´s going nowhere and those get swapped for future prospects (see also: Dwight Howard).

Durant, Wall and Rose and Aldridge are not qualifying for that list btw (so are many others) as they have not been on their teams for 5+ years (due to age, obviously).

Pierce, Wade are the players that I meant - quite rare, that you don´t switch team, won´t you agree?

Once again I am not 100% on this but I think three of those four do qualify for the list: Durant, Aldridge and Rose have all signed their second contracts although I don't know how Rose did as he should still be on his rookie contract.

Derrick Rose is signed for 5 years / $94.80 million with the Chicago Bulls.

Wall still is on his rookie contract.
