I tested GDP in today's PL:
(65809526)Opponent's team is owned by my friend, so we know each other's players skills.
What surprised me here is that my PF, whom I consider to be Top 10 PF in BB, took the least shots among starters. He still shot 70% from the field, but he had just 10 shot attempts. He was being covered by two players with OD 12/ ID 14 and OD 3/ ID 15. Usually he'd run over such players, but here that wasn't the case at all. He had just 4 points in first half.
It's like playing 2-3 without rebouding advantage, but also without giving up on OD.
It will take lot more testing to see if this is true, but so far I'm pleasantly surprised by it. I thought GDP would be very weak, but actually it feels "just right". You don't win with a bad team if you guess correctly, but you can gain a slight advantage in close games.
Of course everyone can still play Look inside and guess "Inside, Fast paced" and completely nullify the GDP feature. I think GDP will be most exploited in National teams who have ability to call up any player they want in order to change the offensive tactic, and also in B3 playoffs.
