Nah, the way to maximize income is to win away games so brian does it too! I like to lose my just a smidge, that's my 'keep the fans happy' approach.

Also, besides having a USA NTer, merchandise is one confusing entity. All last season with 2 outside NTers (Wens and Kantans), I was hovering around 75-78k. This season, with both getting kicked from their NT's, I was at 60k. I sold longtime guard Wens, and still don't have anyone on an outside NT, and my merch has jumped to 80k.

I've tried having only 1 USA player, to having 4. Merch drops instead of rises. Longevity with the team doesn't factor into merch, training a player doesn't factor into merch. I don't get it.

No worries....with you in 1st place at the time, I didn't think you did it on purpose....and in this instance the free win and the walkover minute distribution actually helped me.

Does anybody know how walkovers work with scrimmages and minutes for training? The team that I am scrimmaging on Thursday has sold off all but 2 players and they are up for sale. Did I just get screwed out of training mins??? I can't believe someone would book a scrimmage and then sell everyone off.....

yes you'll be screwed if nothing changes between now and your game. send him a note, and ask him to pick up a 1k scrub and field at least three players so its not a forfeit/walkover.

If he ends up not fielding a lineup and you want minutes, they'll be apportioned as follows:
Anyone in the starter spot for a position = 36 minutes.
Anyone in a backup spot for the position = 10 minutes.
Anyone in the reserve spot for the position = 2 minutes.
(and the corollary - if you set a blank lineup, nobody gets minutes! Only players in the depth chart for the game get minutes)

Except, of course, you lose five minutes for anyone who is starter and backup because otherwise you could get 48 minutes and we couldn't have that! The long and short of it is you can't get 48 minutes at one position, but you could theoretically pull off 48 for one player in two positions (starter PG, backup PG, backup SG = 53 minutes, for example). Yes, you can get more than 48 minutes because, well, not allowing a player to play all the minutes of a game in one position but allowing him to play more minutes than are possible in multiple positions is just excellent game design.

I thought you all might get a kick out of the following BB Mail I received. I received a note from a Serbian owner, and the only thing I can figure, is he doesn't speak English and put his Question through Google Translator, but it didn't quite translate the way he intended ;)

I have two questions. What train play, and grandmother shot for 2 pianos? And if the coaching staff can move forward (to increase their rates), trainer, physiotherapist, and PR-manager?

All I know is, I wouldn't let anyone shoot my grandma for anything less than 3 pianos, 2 just isn't enough!! haha
