Does anybody know how walkovers work with scrimmages and minutes for training? The team that I am scrimmaging on Thursday has sold off all but 2 players and they are up for sale. Did I just get screwed out of training mins??? I can't believe someone would book a scrimmage and then sell everyone off.....
If he ends up not fielding a lineup and you want minutes, they'll be apportioned as follows:
Anyone in the starter spot for a position = 36 minutes.
Anyone in a backup spot for the position = 10 minutes.
Anyone in the reserve spot for the position = 2 minutes.
(and the corollary - if you set a blank lineup, nobody gets minutes! Only players in the depth chart for the game get minutes)
Except, of course, you lose five minutes for anyone who is starter and backup because otherwise you could get 48 minutes and we couldn't have that!
The long and short of it is you can't get 48 minutes at one position, but you could theoretically pull off 48 for one player in two positions (starter PG, backup PG, backup SG = 53 minutes, for example). Yes, you can get more than 48 minutes because, well, not allowing a player to play all the minutes of a game in one position but allowing him to play more minutes than are possible in multiple positions is just excellent game design.
