Here we are... again.

(21285296)

But compare to last season the situation is even worst. You buy youth that you'll resell for the same amount after 6 seasons of full training. Nothing wrong there cause I also like to grow 18 yo players but I can't do anything to have a decent one on my draft

The example you are showing us is a really rare occurence, I believe. This player should be worth 2 millions tops. Somebody liked him so much he spent 4 millions, so what? Somebody chooses VW Passat over Å koda Octavica and pays a lot more where Octavia is only slightly worse than Passat and definitely worth its money. There are many more examples like Passat/Octavia; if you want something and you have a lot of money, you will spend a lot of it. Like in the case you mentioned.

I bought a PG with 4.777 salary and MVP potential for 1 million. What's the difference between mine and the one in your post? Mine will train half a season more. Is this worth 3 additional millions? I doubt it.

So the 18y olds are still going for normal prices. What you showed us is an exception to the rule.

Probably yes, but have you think that you can find a good center well trained (of course not a top player) at the same price you've spent for your 18yo? It means, why BB should give a similar gift to some random players?

For 1 million, I can probably find a C with good secondaries and 70k salary. Now let's see how much does my C cost me in three seasons compared to 18y old:

Center:

First season, 14 x 70.000 = 980.000
Second season, 14 x 67.000 = 938.000
Third season, 14 x 64.000 = 896.000
TOTAL: 2.814.000

Trainee:

First season, 14 x 4.777 = 66.878
Second season, 14 x 7.500 = 105.000
Third season, 14 x 16.000 = 224.000
TOTAL: 395.878

Difference between wages in three seasons: 2.418.122

It is true that the C will start to contribute to my team right away, while my trainee will take at least three seasons' time to be able to start a game for me. But in the end, my trainee will look exactly like I want him to, while the C I bought probably won't.

You don't play in the Seicelles or Mauritius, a player 18 yo cannot play in the championship. If you want to make a right comparation you should consider the games lost = lower revenue and probably a relegation if he plays in championship.
Anyway let's go to my question: do you think is fair enough to distribute money randomly?

Random is, by definition, fair.

What alternative do you propose...Non-random? Explain how a non-random system would be fair.

Do you think it's fair Orlando got Dwight Howard in 2004 NBA draft and nobody else from that draft came even close to him in 6 seasons that followed? Or Kevin Durant in 2007? I think BB draft is a good approximation of NBA draft.

Great, we play a diffent game. No need to have gift (and from season 2 I always had terrbile draft invevesting also $$$) but I would like that you too don't have any gift. I'm sure BBs must do something, I'm not paid to solve the details of the game but I pay to play. Then of course there is always someone that is afraid about news but this happens also in the real life...
Hoping in bad draft to all of you, regards

That's just bad luck, it happens, deal with it. If I have a bad draft, I'm sure I won't be complaining in the forums. Oh btw, see that 6.7k hall of famer in my roster? Drafted him :)
