over the season i have seen many people moan and it looks like these people finally getting what they want...

You mean a change was implemented for the majority? How unfair :)

If a smaller country has to pay less for the same foriegn transfer as a big country, wont this offset the difference in # of players somewhat? Being from a larger country base, I will still have to buy foriegn players if I want to compete, and at a higher price than other teams I am competing on the TL for. Does everyone really think that good players for an inexpensive price were hard to find with the old search criteria? Is it believed that a large number of active users where just to lazy to actually find a good deal on the TL? Wow.

@Superfly Guy-Are we back to talking about how a change affects the top 100 teams again? BB3 is an elitist tournament for the very top teams in a game with over 45,000 teams.

the thing that is clear from the news (in my opinion) is that they will implement a salary increase for players that are not from your home country.

It's not clear in the least, and the absolute riot raging here is over something that no one knows what will actually happen.

Everyone needs to chill out and await what the changes actually are before throwing a fit.

True - but it does not hurt to provide the bb's with as much relevant information, arguments and helpful suggestions (e.g., WFU03) to consider prior to actually making any changes. Past history has shown that they do take such things into account.

Which is a big deal if you are successful in a country where BB is not popular.

Some countries will have Division 7's before some have a full L.1 (sorry if ive repeated myself) and then the rule changes would be with those teams in mind as they would be the 'majority' to please.

Can you not hear that I am crying out for more competition.. im slowly getting it via the teams improving in the JBBL but that wont be good enough for most as we will never lose the tag of 'small nation'.

Keep adding layers to the big userbases and keep adding rules to keep them all happy - im not objecting to this.. but dont add more small countries to the game if they are to cater for 5-10 users only... it is and will become increasingly difficult for everyone to conform to the same rules without favouring one group of users...

Because of so-called lack of competition it would be an outrage to favour the smaller nations.. but unless cleverly implemented any new rule to favour the masses will ordinarily be to our detriment.

What's the situation with the new system?
TEAM B have the same salary and TEAM A pay 10% less of salaries
or
TEAM A pay the same salary and TEAM B pay 10% more of salaries?

There is no indication at all as of now whether the suggested change will be indeed related to salary. I don't think this is an accident.

i think we cannot talk about it if we don't know the system,if it will be happen the first or the second solutioni
And I'm not talking about percentages

Of course, I completely agree.

The hysterics aren't necessary in the least, though.

In the game engine, your SG (for example) will no longer be restricted to guarding an opposing SG in a man-to-man defense. In other words, your position in the offense will not have to match your position in the defense.

I wonder if defense will start switching (when screens are set) or if it 'll be about setting orders.
for example:
Player x starting point guard
Player x defending shooting guard

The way it is written I guess it's the second wich BB's plan to implement. Will be interesting.

Climbing the BB-mountain. Destination: the top.

Well put.

I must say that these changes do not make teams in lower divisions happy either, in many cases. None of my starters are from the USA. I have 5 players out of 14 from USA but two are for sale, hopefully gone. My plan was to not invest any of my scrimpy earnings in the draft, to buy a (probably foriegn) trainee replacement next season, and to put all of my measly earnings into my arena (see discussion on Arena's in other post). Now that is scrapped, as I must invest in the draft to build from a home base. Trying to find a good recruit from your own country wont be easier from a big country, as there are as many looking for homegrown recruits as there are recruits going into the system, maybe more. I now must continue to invest at least some in the draft, end of my previous plans. No biggie, new challenges, roll with the punches. Overall for the better, I believe.

I do sympathize with your lack of competition, a problem I dont have in a bigger country. BBB is probably the best you get atm and PL somewhat too. There are advantages and disadvantages to being an early comer to a small country I suppose. If I were offered to start a new team in any country I chose right now, I think I would choose to be in the first season of the new Malta Div I. Sounds infinitely more interesting, and with faster promise, than starting in a Div V series anywhere.

If the principle is horrible the details doesn't really matter, they will just decide how horrible the implementation will be.

The earlier people can give feedback the better. Just waiting until the details are given before complaining will just have the BBs loosing time.

There are quite a few changes presented, both for this and future seasons, and "everyone" everything, except one thing, the salary change, which seems to upset quite a few (even though not everyone). Still there is problably a reason why one thing is singled out...

It's like they are trying to solve a problem by replacing it with another.

That's assuming it's horrible, which it is not.
