1. Hey, everyone! My name is Somebody Important (SomeboImpo for short) and I have been playing this game since early November of 2008. This is my third full season playing this game, and yet, I have seen people that joined later than me pass my team by. I have literally built my team from the ground up, since I didn't get a strong force to start with. In Season 8, my team drafted Battle and hit its stride. Even though my team was not able to get to the finals, I was able to see improvements in my team. With the decline in the playoffs from the season before, I believe that my team needs to build itself up for the postseason.

2. My short-term goal is to win my league's playoffs in Season 10. Although it would be great for my team to win the playoffs this year, I only expect our team to get to the finals this year.

3. In my recently revamped training program, I have 3 trainees, all centers. I talked about Battle, my starting center, earlier. My star player and starting power forward, Goring Malayao, would be currently worth a 15K salary if a new season were to start. I also have a third trainee in Whitney Meadows, who is currently my inside reserve.

4. Here is my starting lineup.

Starters
PG - Elvis Magnone (8741894)
SG - Adrian Vega (2570494)
SF - Jose Sanz Delfa (9303034)
PF - Goring Malayao (8500370)
C - Christian Battle (7923674)

Subs
PG - Eduard Rohtla (9583280)
SG - Imre Lest (6208106)
SF - Basil Kerns (10318369)
PF - Askold Asanovich (8448735)
C - Carlos Robins (9824592)

Reserves
Outside - Lluis Clave (3006787)
Inside - Whitney Meadows (9212652)

My team is heavily outside focused. I have two goals to improve my team I would like help on.
1. Get players from the U.S. of A.
2. Get players that are outside-oriented to make my team more balanced.

My budget is currently $130K.

In Response -
1. OK, I guess. But SomeboImpo's cool, right?
2. Yeah, it's a typo. I meant "inside".
3. Hmm. That's surprising.
4. Really? I tend to be an aggressive buyer (just look at my transfer page!) but you're the expert here.
5. I've made a document with all of my plaers' attributes on it. If you PM me with your real E-Mail, I can give you the stats.

Basil Kerns just got injured last game. If anyone could help me set up my lineup until he gets healthy, I'd appreciate it.

SI:

Not that it was mentioned in your write up... but, I think you are neglecting your arena.

I think you and I have similar teams. We are both in the 4th division, we both have good teams and both have a chance at promotion this year (like you, I believe I can get to the finals but I don't think I will win the finals series).

Even though you are charging more per seat, the fact that I have a much larger arena leads me to a huge financial advantage to you. Your max income (which you are close to reaching) is $89,780. My Max income is $131,800. That is a $42,000 a week difference.

I realize that it often seems like a poor immediate solution (you will spend money and it won't immediately come back), but if you don't start improving your arena now... I don't think you'll be able to adequately compete in D III. I would recommend making some expansion to the Lower Tier and Courtside seats as you are selling them out in every game.

I would like some feedback on my team as well.

1. My team started off near the end of last season in division IV.28, barely escaping relegation by placing 7th place. However, I received the 2nd highest draft pick, and got one of my star players, Rod Goldstein. It was a good start, and I used my money to pick up some new players and boost up my arena. These upgrades were worth their money and my team had a stretch where we won 14 of 15 games. Currently I'm 4th, but sitting in a 3-way tie for second with a 11-5 record.

2. My short-term goal is of course to promote to III, however I wouldn't be competitive if I do that this season.

3. Training my outside players has been my main objective since the start of this season. I train 3-position in PG and jump shot for my guards mostly.

4. Roster:
Starters:
Rod Goldstein(9210222)PG
Edward Harrington(7922671) SG
Erin Purcell(9780552) SF
Juan Ortiz(7388368) PF
Todd Groves(9128923) C

Backups:
Jody Foreman(9128912) PG
Lulash Saraqi(9174343) SG
Wang Fuzheng(9114384) SF
Lucian Iacob(8855241) PF
Mario Boiano(9109258) C

Outside Reserve:Eugene Cervantes(9128914)
Inside Reserve:Marcus Cano(7827278)

My team is slightly outside focused, I like playing Run and gun, or push the ball like the X-steppers.

By the way, what level are your staff(IV teams)? These are mine.
Doctor: lvl 3, $8493 salary
Trainer: lvl 5, $29643 salary
PR-Manager: lvl 3, $8150 salary-crowd involvement

3) Run and Gun is a better offensive option than Push the ball, both in general and for you. I tend to use balanced offenses only if I am fairly convinced I am going against a zone defense. You can always use it as a surprise weapon though.

really? interesting. *ponders*

Run and Gun and Look Inside are statistically the strongest offenses to run as you will shoot at a higher percentage than the other tactics. Its more of a flaw of the game than anything else.

OK, that I knew. I'm referring more to question of why Coco runs a balanced offense when the other team is running a zone... that's confusing me.
