Hell, I think they could stand to be raised in some cases.

Perhaps scouting prices could be set by division?

I can drop $40K into scouting each week without even thinking about it.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score

When a player is for sale, his skills are visible. So there must be something like:

if (forsale)
display_skills()
endif

Otherwise, only the salary, age, DMI, stats, etc. are shown.

So it should be fairly easy to add a test for a newly drafted player. Or alternatively, there could be a full display of all newly acquired players, whether drafted or purchased (say for a week).

Then conduct the draft over 3 days. Just like now, you would rank order your anonymized scouting list, and it would be locked in.

Then hold the first round of the draft. Your scouting list would look like it did before, but for the players that were drafted, there would be their name which would link to the player whose stats would be visible. In addition, their could be a number indicating which pick they were (5th overall).

So it might look like

27 Billy Bob Boozer 4th 5 A+ Free Throws
14 Joe Willie Naismith 8th 5 A Shooting
18 5 A- Rebounding
....

In this case, player "18" was not drafted in the first round, and it would be pretty clear that he was your top choice for the 2nd round.

Then repeat the process for each round/day.

Did you have to use the same name twice?

OT: when's the best time to scout players?

i began using the scouting for rookies i think last week (i tend to forget things i've done, thus i brought up the notepad suggestion...Ü) and i don't know if it is a good thing to do, i did this first time last week because it is the only time that i can afford such things...

I disagree... REALLY REALLY BAD idea... or everyone gets the feature-or none.

This is actually the kind of feature that Supporter was designed for - enhanced enjoyment of the game with zero benefit to actually building a better team.
