Seeing this is a fundamental concept of the game, I wouldn't expect this to change.

There was a hue and cry for the NBA to do something 6-8 years ago when the Western Conference was dominant, and now it's a non-issue.

I think you will find the same here.

In the NBA there is no promotion to and relegation from an upper league. That makes it substantially different, IMHO.

I find this issue relevant, as I have the same in my league. This season the fifth in my conference has a better record than the first in the other conference.

Thanks for the link to the other discussion, I will continue there :)

I would still like to see this fixed regarding the draft. Since the draft goes purely by team record, a relegating team can sometimes end up with a lower pick than a team staying up. I would like to see the two #8 seeds automatically get the #1 and #2 picks, the two #7 seeds the #3 and #4 pick and the two #6 seeds the #5 and #6 picks.

Either that, or make it so that all the non-playoff teams get higher picks than any team making the playoffs. This is usually what most major sporting leagues in the world do, as far as I know.

I appreciate the comments. Its just frustrating that an injury or two kept me out of the playoffs this season again. Then you glance over at the other side of the bracket and you see teams that you slaughtered and don't even have to gameplan to beat in the playoffs. A little imbalance is one thing. Knowing that any team in your division could win the other division going away is another thing.

Please keep in mind that ANY decent team that finds its way over there will have a distinct advantage to teams in my division. They will be able to play on "take it easy" for their final games heading into the playoffs giving them an advantage over teams in my division.

The Mountaineers talent will prevail this season, but if you look at previous seasons this is what happened.

If you are really desperate, you could try to relegate next season, in order to promote back to another 4th division the season after that, which might get you straight to the III.

My D.III conference has 6 teams that are idle and on their way to being bots (1 is banned, but is not technically bot yet, 4 are bots, and 1 hasn't logged in in 2 weeks).

The other conference has 5 or 6 VERY good teams.

It happens. It will balance itself out.

Nah, losing on purpose wouldn't be fair to the rest of the guys in the league. I just thought a simple fix would be to mix em up a bit. I didn't realize it was that big of deal. GLB restructures after every season.
