I do not subscribe to the belief that the team ratings are useless, but it is an easy way out if you do not want to discuss the issue.

Lol you've got to be kidding me.

(btw post 2 in that thread compared with making changes to my team that seem to have worked changed my mind)

Not really.

Every time I came with an argument, you changed the rules. First, you said flow was the problem. Then I came with an example where the flow was equal. Then, you said the match ratings were the problem and I should look at match-up ratings. I pointed out the flaw in looking only at match-up ratings.

So that leaves us where? Really, I want to discuss this and get to the root of the issue. If there is no way to have a discussion about this because the BB dynamics do not allow it, just say so. Otherwise, let's discuss.

So what do I say when someone sends me this private mail:

I really believe that its time to tweak the game engine. So unfair for big men trainers.

Exactly my problem. I am so frustrate being a big men trainer. My C had a game with the NT 7-10 with my NT playing run and gun, against C with 3x his salary, and then my next game he couldnt buy a basket against equal big man. The offensive flow was similar (less for me). Also my 70kSG failed to make a single basket, with my team playing CT against normal. Indeed the big men paying so much salaries to get back so little.

Edit:Even it the offensive flow is so important then makes the guards very important, way more than the big men. The fact that as a big men trainers we dont have the option to train passing except if we sacrifice wins or being farm teams just make the things even harder. Now i really wonder why i should bother to train IS for my big men? why not make them jump shooters and play run and gun?

The new engine does not rely on team ratings as heavily as the old engine. However it is exactly in the Team Ratings where it is more easy for inside players to get high ratings out of it. Just get a monster center and there you go.

I like the new engine. Please don't change it again

Cheers, Exos

If had the players i would play look inside like this: 2 point guards as PG and SG AND their passing/handling skills higher than jump shoot. At least this makes all the sense. In real basket, a player which better skill is jump shot will try to hit the basket more often than to find a team mate for a clear shoot. And the inverse also applies. I think this is the reason why you see your guards shooting more than your inside men in as inside tactic.
