This is a BB-managing game.
This is not a BB-arcade game.

So it seems we have our self the new mantra we will be hearing now in every thread?

I haven't bothered to read much of your posts as they all just become boring after a real short while.
But i think a ego stat could be a fun add-on as a hidden skill. But i don't see why it should have to be a thing that only happens to high salary players in lower levels.
I truly believe that there are those players out there that even though if they are playing against kids they will do what it takes to win.

Relating only to the ...more...interesting parts;
I already stated that this ego thing is part of younger players as well, but the affect of ego in general is increasing when the player is much better than the division he is part of.


Using LeBron James as an example:
The older you get, the more you get your ego in check... I feel like experience would cancel it out.

Meaning that the ego is part of younger and older guys, and probably younger more than older.
BUT...
It is clearly seen more for players who are at the top of their league.
And it come to the extreme when the difference from them to most others is bigger.

I don't know how 5.6 asssists for a SG is not passing. So many people say he doesn't pass yet they only look at the times he doesn't never the time he does
Agreed. (a spurs fan not a kobe fan)

5.6 assists for a player who has the ball most of any other player (and SG is meaningless - he have it more than the average PG!) is not that much.
Surely in the NBA with their lose definition of what is called an assist.
Surely with the great inside players he can pass the ball to.

In the NBA the definition of PG is very lose.
As a fact, Kobe is the one who's in charge on the offensive-flow.
For that, 5.6 AST is not much.

Like I said Laker's PGs are horrible. None of them can run the flow. Kobe is a SG not a PG he doesn't need to pass but he does. Now that Nash is there he will be the primary ballhandler only reason Kobe ran the flow is because they never had a PG like Nash look at the Olympics Kobe never was the primary ballhandler because he had CP3 and D-Will. In 07 his assists droped to 3.1 because CP3 was there. In 08 it dropped to 2.1 again CP3 was on that team

Kobe is the PG, as he is incharge on the offensive flow.
The same goes for Lebron. Although he plays the SF at deffence (or PF or C or PG or SG...), on offence he is the PG.
As you said - when there will be someone which will actually be the ball-handler and actually the PG, his AST will dropped rough, and then you could compare him to other SG [and see that he does not pass much...]

That is what a SG is supposed to do, and when Kobe actually playes the position and not just upon height, his assist are very low compared to his fellow SG in the NBA

Kobe 23 shot attempts per game, only player in NBA with over 20+
he had 4.6 assists, not 5.6
and players who shoot a lot, such as James, 6.2 assists, Westbrook, 5.5 assists, Durant 3.5 assists, Carmello 3.6 assists

By comparison, I don't see Bryant as being as horrible as you say.
*edit* In fact, Carmello, whom is a notorious ballhog, and not a passer, had more assists than Durant. So I would call Durant into question for this.
