Yes, nice big win! I was hoping for it but not by such a big margin, even tough the tactics were good (not great), I believe we got a bit lucky but our talented players did the job they had to. Thanks to this win, our Malaysia U21 NT is in the world top30, ranked #28. It's simply the best ranking ever. 10 seasons ago, we were ranked #29, our previous best. With this win, our U21 NT just wrote its own legend! And it could get even better if we win next game.

However, all this is meaningless if we don't qualify for next round and we still have 3 places to gain to be in the best 32. It's possible but a win can't guarantee us to qualify and the win isn't guaranteed as Scotland has some strengths which could disrupt our fine game.

Let's play our best basketball, let's beat Scotland, let's raise in the world ranking, let's qualify for next round, let's surprise everybody, let's us be Malaysia! Hidup Malaysia!

We beat Scotland by 31! We may qualify for the Knockout Stage but we have to wait for the last games to be certain of it. It will be a close call and I don't want us to end up being #33, anything but #33.

Edit: Andorra has lost and Bulgaria is going to lose against Russia, that's already 2 teams behind us. Some games are going to start really soon and we will know what happens to Malaysia in a few hours.

Edit2: Croatia is not so well, Morocco is playing a close game, here are two more teams we may pass.

Edit3: Some games are finished, we will qualify! We should be at worst #30, whatever our final rank is, we will have a very very complicated game ahead of us.

Thanks! Portugal has some strong inside players, however, Philippines seems to have more depth. Despite your 3 injured players, I think you can beat them.

In a more general way, I find that Asian teams did quite well so far, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Iran, New-Zealand, Malaysia and Hong Kong, we all qualify for the Knockout Stage. I'm especially impressed by what Singapore does, being ranked #12 with so few users playing the game, that's incredible!

As for us, Germany is almost unbeatable, we may not stand a chance but we will fight hard and try to get the best possible result. Hidup Malaysia!

So our season ends with a defeat against Germany, no surprises here as they are playing at another level. With 19 points, Davis bin Aldean finished best scorer of the game despite being one of the two 20-year old on the Malaysian roster.

This season started badly with 3 losses in a row but we managed to win the 5 next games. We managed to reach our goal which was to qualify for the Knockout Stage. I would like to thank all the players and their managers for this season. The good results are not due to great tactics, they are due to the quality of the players and the good training provided. I like all the players in the team, all are interesting and have real qualities.

I would like to give a special mention to the manager of dracule (52775) who managed to have his 3 trained players in the U21 NT. Anton Edwin Edin (34046003), Ian Standy (34045979) and Chris Gabriel (34046059) were 3 major contributors this season.

A mention to Aganit Sadagopan (34046192) who had a bad injury and troubles to get back to a good GS, we surely could have done a bit better with him healthy.

Last point, results were funny this season as we didn't play one close game, the smallest margin was 19 in a loss against Germany. Apart from this last game, our losses and wins were all with 20+ margins.

To better prepare next season, I got Terfu involved with the team selection and I plan to ask his advice, depending on his availability, for next season tactics. If you have a player in the NT and don't want Terfu to know your player's skills, please, let me know.

There will be elections at the end of the season so I may not be the Malaysia U21 coach. I will be candidate but I will be on holidays at the beginning of the season so I won't have time for a speech. I won't change much on my way to proceed, I'm still open for help or if other managers want to get involved.

Thank you for your support.

I felt it was necessary to warn people that I won't be able to make a speech due to my temporary lack of availability. I don't want anyone to think I feel that I deserve to be the U21 coach just because I'm here. It's a chance and a privilege to be the U21 coach, I owe it to the Malaysian community and I feel the need to give back by doing my best.

It's also important to have someone else involved because 2 of my players are in the team and I wouldn't want anyone to think I selected them because they are my players. I'm willing to share their skills with Malaysian managers who doubt of my fairness. This is not enough so having you and Terfu aware of players' skills is for me a proof that my players are not privileged by the fact that I'm the U21 coach.
