Except... as much as I'd like to claim them, I don't make these. Buzzer-manager does...

Yeah I saw him too and loved the name seeing as Daisuke Kawaida is so close to Daisaku Kawaida who was the first player I ever bought and a star of my team for many seasons even having a vintage game scoring 49 points this week.

He was acquired by the current owner 1863 days ago (on 11/9/2010) for $ 102 000.

Does anyone else have a player on their team who is still a contributor who was obtained longer ago than this?

It was a throwback night with 37 year old Daisaku Kawaida doing well and 39 year old Hirofumi Sonoda having an amazing outing. Really time to get some better players. I don't know about you guys but I now have well over 23 million in the bank, probably need to spend some.

I think the only manager here who *could* beat that is YC... no-one else has been around long enough.

K-Mat's my longest serving player, and I've had him for 1314 days.

Hiroshi Okura (25318382) (1310 days), Daijiro Fukumoto (25318423) (1307 days) and Laurence Schlumpf (25192118) (1300 days) are my longtime runners. Okura was my own draft, Fukumoto and Schlumpf are my wife's and my real family name, I bought them for 1000 bucks. These guys will probably beat the record once, because they will not be sold until the bitter end, whatever may come.
