The Tartans took it easy last night and were still able to put away a Sentinels squad that shot poorly from the field, going only 15-80 from the field. Matthew Rockwell did muster a double double on the night, doing nearly everything for an outmatched Sentinels squad. Murciano recorded a double double for the Tartans, while Adam Carranza led the night in scoring, dropping 18 for the Tartans.
Henry Plant received some help tonight from Thurman Heard and Jerry Coulter, who delivered their first double double of the season, but it wasn't enough for the Plugs to upset the Poros. Plant led the Plugs with 18. The Poros defense was solid in this one and passed the ball well, accounting for assists on 73% of their baskets. Despite no players recording double doubles, five Poros players scored at least 12. Robert Villalobos led all scorers with 32.
The Savages continued their losing streak as the Believers doubled them up without even trying. Devadze and Spirovic each dropped 19 for the Savages but 28 turnovers certainly didnt help their efforts, while Josef Sik has been nearly non existent for GS of late. Manolo Ruguero and Igor Dlubacz recorded double doubles for the Believers, while Dorian Cardwell led all scorers with 27.
Team Turn Up scratched another tally in the win column, in a low scorer against West Palm Beach. Mario Chen tacked his 3rd double double of the season but it wasn't enough to take down the the starting 5 of the Turn Ups. Dennis was the only starter not to score double digits but led the night on the boards with 14 while Vlado Vouk was the leading scorer with 18. Chen led all scorers on the night with 22.
Morgan Town only gave up double digits in 1 quarter, as the Bucks mustered the lowest scoring night on the season. The Bucks went 1-23 from deep which didnt help matters, but a well rounded Mad Dogs crew saw 6 players reach at least 12 on the night, including double doubles from Ziquan, Barao and Lee Han. Deivid Donianiz led all scorers with 25.
The Green Peppers 2-3 zone finally put Mike Churchill and the Condors in check, holding him to only 8 points in 48 minutes. Rebolledo captured the games only double double going 11/14 while Maximo Montalvo supplied a team high 28. It was a failing effort, but Daniil Bosyakov lead all scorers with 35.
The Generals won a tight one on the road against the Mercy Buckets, despite a near triple double for Rafael Xaxim who filled in splendidly for the injured Chen Xujia and will likely remain a focal point in the Buckets offense. Oriol Pujol continued his dominance, recording the only double double for the Generals, with a game high 37.
It was clear, the Force is not in a win now mode, as they took it easy against a talented Machete club and rested most of its normal starters, in order to get more minutes for trainees Andrade, Leonardis and Jiazhi. This was the only game of the night that saw no double doubles as the Machetes played a lot of iso ball and spread the minutes out evenly. Mimmo Massaccesi led all scorers with 28.
