Dammit I flubbed my sub pattern. Pissed away a perfectly good opportunity for a road win.

Announcer: We are only two games into season 41 yet tonight's docket could have a Huge impact upon the direction of the Slaughterhouse for the balance of the campaign.

In our feature matchup Exile and Sparty will be clashing with a huge leg up and a 3-0 start going to the winner.

While up in the New River Valley top sitting Deronimo has the perennial challenger Cal Bulldogs in town with the Dogs trying to climb out of the relegation zone after a 0-2 start.

The Cave is the site with the Bunnies and Lions matching glares with the loser looking the cellar square in the eye.

While in Greensboro the Shockers and Generals get it on with the Victor staying in playoff contention as even at this early stage every game is critical path in the hyper competitive Big 8.

Meanwhile in Club Red things threaten to tighten up with the top three teams all facing road trips.

First the Mavs seek their first win of the young campaign and to stem the Nasties stout start.

While in Portland the Claws seek to de fang the kitties.

The Winners and Harrisburg battle to avoid the specter of the cellar

And the dream tries to avoid a Snow job.

It's night three, and it starts NOW

Announcer: This is the story of two conferences, the Blues Magoo's and Club Red

These are the blues, and these are the reds.

In our last episode Sparty surprised the Exiles to keep Pace with Deronimo at 3-0. Tonight in the Fabulous Forum these two face off with the victor being left as the only team in the league to have not felt the sting of defeat.

In our feature presentation for the evening we will be at the litter box to see if Harrisburg can scratch out a win against the kittens.

The Dream hopes to put the nightmare of Saturdays slaughter at the hands of the blizzards as they host the Claws.

The Blizzards travel to New Bedford as the Nasties seek to get back on track after being manhandled by the Mavs.

As for the Mavs they travel to take on the Winners who are looking to sustain the momentum gained by their last second escape against Harrisburg.

The Shocks and Exiles square off as both seek to get back on the winning track.

While at the bottom of the blues the Lions seek to get in the win column against a Generals club seeking to sustain the momentum from a resounding smashing of the Shocks over the weekend

And at Paws arena the Bunnies and Bulldogs face off in a contest that is a true must win for Cal.

Confused? You won't be, well actually you may still might after tonight's episode of BBTV.

Promotion may truly be up for grabs. I can make a case for just about every team in the Big 8. I haven't had much time to scout the Great 8, though. Looks like a few floating to the top but are any of them for real? Match ratings look pretty good for a couple. We will see how everything shakes out by end of inter-conference play and then make some real predictions.

Think this is a pretty accurate picture of III.5. Last season the Big 8 destroyed the Great 8 in interleague play, but the Great 8 champ was able to take the title. Big 8 is again the tougher conference, and will likely win, and win big in interleague play again this season. Maybe a few teams in the Great 8 can compete with a couple in code blue. But the real issue will be who can get through the season, all while saving up enough team spirit to make a deep playoff run. Big 8 may again cannibalize themselves in their conference playoffs, given the quality of the teams there, opening the door for a good Great 8 team to take the title - - just like last season.

We shall find out soon enough.

Playing Ladson is like playing Virginia. Manufacturing points (especially at the NoCo) is daunting. It stayed close until about the end of the third where foul trouble up front led to the utterly unprepared rookie big men to make an appearance. It was only for a few minutes but in those minutes the Lions bellowed out taking complete control. In the end Ladson controlled the offensive glass 22-14 that coupled with 16 turnovers from the Generals compared to seven for the Lions led to over 20 more shot attempts and in a game where both offenses had their issues it was far too much for the Generals to overcome.

Sorry for no preview post for game 5. Ended up in chapel Hill for UNC vs Ga Tech, great seats downstairs in the end zone about 10 rows up. Let's say today's result I will probably find more appealing than my boys battle at Cassell though not write as tasty as the steak I will be chomping down on momentarily. https://youtu.be/iFCniNYZoFg

With VT at 2-4 in the ACC with 2 home losses (plus no good non conference wins) the UNC game might be must won tomorrow. Hopefully it goes the way of Deronimo/Greensboro...

As Dean Smith used to say, if it's an @ it ain't an upset. And I know the crowd will be stoked. Your boys can fill it up but have been lackadaisical on defense. Carolina has some defensive deficiencies as well. So I see a high scoring affair which in the end plays to the Heels strength. Nip and tuck throughout, but it has been that way for my boys all season, I say UNC 85 VPI 81

Announcer: as the first phase of the season comes to it's conclusion the championship chase slowly starts to come into focus, though there is still plenty of opportunity for the winning waters to be clouded.

Tonight our cameras will focus upon Nasty Arena where New Bedford seeks to snap a three game skid with rival Atlanta paying a visit.

Deronimo seeks to keep pace with the Spartans though the Bunnies would like nothing better than to play spoiler.

Harrisburg and the Claws come together in a battle between teams in dire need of a victory.

Ladson and Cal both have righted the ship after 0-3 starts. Now tonight they clash with both teams needing a win for position in the upper division.

The Generals also are in that fight but with the Exiles invading the Coliseum and a tricky third round draw things could get worse in the 'Boro before it gets better.

Game winners seeks to get back on track whilst the visiting kitties are trying to keep pace for top honors in club red

Same goes for the Mavs and blizzards

And Sparty seeks a road win to keep pace with Deronimo while the hosting shocks are searching for something to hold on to
