Great 8 review a week late.

Round 2 333k 89 CR
Team with a lot of promise. Could be a future D2 promotee. No key players over 31. Trainees are over 21 and able to compete.

Fiercekitties 289k 81 CR
Not far behind Round 2. Just sold two players netting roughly 800k. Balanced roster with no clear standouts.

CCMavs 246k 182 CR
I had to move the Mavs up after PG Ionel Constantin was brought in. Might be able to get past first round of playoffs.

Burger Chefs 279k 192 CR
Nice balanced roster with young players to keep team competitive and instant playoff contender.

MastersOfBall 239k 207 CR
Has the roster to be a Great 8 steady team but being a 5th seed could be dangerous.

Redstones 231k 249 CR
Only one player under 30. Should be thinking about a rebuild as Great 8 non-playoff teams have historically short stays.

Michigan Blasters 235k 165 CR
Looking for silver-lining. Should enjoy promotion money, I guess.

The Fire Sale of the Generals does not look good for the future of that franchise staying in D3 since what season 31 ? It has to be hard to part ways with McClain, Irureta, and Skinner. Two of which were best men at each other's wedding I believe. GL Generals.

It's Webb and Armstead who were best men, though Skinner and McClain both were members of the wedding party at Armsteads, Webb got hitched at the wrong end of a Remington to that horrible piece of trailer trash that you see off in the corner at the post game press conference. Yes, that woman with that greasy looking black hair tied in a bun who is typically wearing a tight pair of Capri's, a tank top, and a Benson and Hedges seemingly surgically attached between her fore finger and middle finger is his old lady. https://youtu.be/FtAYAbDGlU0

As for the departures....oh it breaks Management's heart, that's why they were all placed late night and slightly towards the higher end. But our GM sat them down just before putting them up and said it was just time. I have held to Webb and Armstead to a point where neither has much more than scrap value, and we could use some cash. Though we will be using said cash to find replacements who might keep us from relegation, but the crew we have with the current state of this league is going to be hard pressed to do so.

I think Skinner will move, Inureta might be a stretch, but someone paid upwards of 800 for a player of similar quality so maybe he moves.

As for Karl.... He's a slacker, maybe it's my fault but he never has quite been what his numbers suggest he could have been.

Skinner is solid, but he has holes.

Irureta is interesting but he is a defensive liability.

And with the door closing on Taylor and Strong and with Han entering his prime we got to make a move somewhere.

Tonight Generals fans get a chance to say goodbye, but considering how Cal tends to take our boys to task the fans by the end of the night could well be saying good riddance.

Thanks Coach Lam for the background, I always love reading the great story lines of your players.

Also Thank you Cal for the Great 8 preview. I wanted an unbais point of view of our division. Good to know, I got moved up hehe. I think I am still a couple of pieces and 2 more strong seasons of training away. But, we shall see. Burger Chefs look very strong to me and just as young as my team.

Skinner and McClain are Gonzo. Irureta is still around I will be shocked if anyone give me 350k for that stiff. got my eye on another big man, might have to move Webb over to the 3 and definitely will need another guard, especially one who can play defense because Skinner was so key in that regard. Glad to grit out a victory. Billie and Karl will leave the fans smiling.

(Crowd at the end of Tuesday night)

THANK YOU BILLIE (clap,clap...clap,clap clap) Thank you Billie

THANK YOU KARL (ETC)

THANK YOU ANIBAL

Hardly a dry eye in the house. Big hugs all around at games end. Karl went to midcourt at games end and left a kiss on the famed column emblem and exited into the darkness of the tunnel one last time. Billie didn't leave the bench for about 15 minutes after the game. Lots of fans stopping by for handshakes from the men, hugs from the women and autographs for the kids. "We've had a hell of a run together man" said Armstead, "Come on old friend, there waiting on us, we got the counter set aside over at the Waffle House, hash browns are on me, how you like em? Scattered smothered and covered just like your defensive assignments? C'mon man let's go"

And tonight these three men sit side by side at the international buzzer beater transfer center. Around them sits everyone else awaiting their fate. Some grin ear to ear fat and happy with the knowledge they are about to get a nice size transfer commission (you know, for relocation) some like our trio reminence about the good times they've had and promise to stay in touch. While others, the free agents who's previous teams went under, the marginal players who were cut by their teams, and all others sit there anxiously awaiting to find out if the dream will continue.

An opening montage of images from drives down the lane to fans doing there thing, to players giving each other low fives during player introductions, guards gunning from downtown, bigs gobbling up boards etc as nausem.

Cue: https://youtu.be/imYJpr09IgQ

Announcer: as always in the early season teams are feeling things out to figure out just where they stand. Every game counts though so tonight's results could have impact going forward.

Over in big blue

Petersburg found out the hard way that this might not be the cakewalk many thought it might be. Now they look to get back in gear against the transitioning generals who welcome a pair of new faces to the fray

Deronimo will look to dig themselves out of the unaccustomed spot of sitting in the relegation zone though stormz is not going to be a pushover

Some may be surprised by the 2-0 start of the nation, now they seek additional validation against the always solid bulldogs

And the bunnies look to build on the momentum from their win over Petersburg with a visit to the jammers on the horizon

In club red

The blasters seek to avoid a 0-3 start though doing so against the stout round 2 is always easier said than done

The mavs look to take a bite out of the surprising chefs

Masters continues their quest to return to playoff relevance against the stones

And the kitties look to claw their way to a 3-0 start against the struggling to adapt barricade

Sybil will have her say. Lots of news and notes from the transfer ticker and we will learn more about our most recent arrivals. All that and more as it's time for BB2NIGHT

I would like to thank the Chef of all Burgers for a great game win or lost at Above The Rim Arena. It went down to the wire and in the past my young team have folded with the pressure. But tonight they have shown how much they have grown and learn winning a close one. The fans rush the floor and hoisted DH up in the air for the pressure free throw to put us over the top (Career .500 free throw shooter at best). Beware of those Burger Chefs - really really good young team and hungry.

It really doesn't take much to put the clamps down on that in a hurry, it's called a 3-2 zone, or if your playing someone all hrudey about matters to go all guards just drop a 1-3-1.

But yeah, it is a crock

A opening montage of players fiercely in battle, glares, shoves nudges, and sometimes even to blows.

Cue: https://youtu.be/8QZvoOqUkqw

Announcer: as the battle starts to heat up in the season of magnum force the overall picture will slowly start to come into focus.

Over in club red

The chefs will look to cruise past embattled Boston

2 and mavs renew hostilities with a leg up in the playoff picture awaiting the winner

The kitties will see to claw their way to a 4-0 start as the Masters come calling

And the blasters will go on the road looking to get off the scnide against the stones

Over in big blue

The surprising hunnies will look to claim a win against suddenly suspect Deronimo.

Storms and Cal clash in a game with playoff ramifications

The nation looks to find a way to pull one off against a Petersburg club surprised to find themselves in a dogfight.

And the generals look to get back to even money with the jammers coming to town

Sybil will have her say. And since it's election night we will discuss the link between BB and the political process. Plus there was a very busy week of movement the transfer ticker will reset for you. So settle on in, we will be here until all precincts have reported as it's time again for BB2NIGHT
