Hi BB-Mark,

Advertising at the site of the 'Nederlandse Basketball Bond' might be a good idea. 'Nederlandse Basketball Bond' means Dutch Basketball Federation.

The site of the main federation: http://nbb.basketball.nl/content.php , E-mail:unfortunately I haven't found a e-mailadress of the webmaster.

It might also be an idea to advertise at the 5 regional sites of the dutch basketball federation in the 5 different regions of the dutch basketball federation. Namely:

Region Noord Holland
http://www.dunk.nl/
E-mail: nbb-nh@dunk.nl

Region North
http://www.bbrayonnoord.nl/
E-mail: rayonnoord@basketball.nl

Region East
http://www.rayonoost.nl/
E-mail: info@rayonoost.nl

Region South
http://www2.basketball.nl/rayon/zuid/
E-mail: rayonzuid@basketball.nl

Region West
http://west.basketball.nl/site/index.php?id=28
E-mail: info@west.basketball.nl

But I haven't got a clue, how much people visit those sites, maybe somebody else here can tell you those things. I'm not at home in the Basketbalworld in the Netherlands, that's why I'd like other dutch guys to comment the idea.

Greetings,

Arsjitekt

That is a really good plan, but it's also a smart idea to post something about BB on the forums of the clubs, especially the big ones.
I got in touch with BB through such a forum and I'm playing at a small club.
Maybe this can work also.

The only thing is, I don't know if all the clubs have a forum.
I think that the idea of Arsjitekt is really good!

This is a very good idea.
I am a dutch basketballer by myself and I watch those websites (most Region West, and the main website) very often. Dutch basketbal players can find here very important information about the league where they are playing in, such as the schedule, rankins, rostere and more.

So, BB-Mark, how do you like to advertise on these websites? Is there a budget for it? I hope so!

I have made a list of the largest basketbal clubs in Holland. The most of them playing in the highest competition, the other are clubs I personally know because I played against them.

Maybe you can ask them if they can create a newspost about BuzzerBeater or if they will add a banner on their webpage?

Today I sent an e-mail to all the links above. The clubs, the districts and the national webpages with an offer to advertise on their webpage, or to post a newspost on their website with BuzzerBeater promotion.

Hope I hear soon from them.

@BB's

Recently I've read a few times that the new BB's, BB-Patrick and BB-Edju, have the job to get more people to the game. While that might be their primary goal, I'd like to suggest that it might be even more important to keep those new people in the game.

Because of my scouting duties for the national team, I have scouted the IV.1 to IV.10 in the Netherlands this season three times. It is quite shocking to see that the percentage of managers which stop playing this wonderful game in a few days - weeks - months is quite high (i estimate it's about 90%, you got the numbers, it might be less). We (managers which stay more than 2 months) know this game is wonderful and will seldom leave. That amount of people which came to the game and left the game this season will probably be 16*10*90%= 144, that's about 1/3 of our countrysize (in managers) That's simply too much.

We should ask ourselfs "Why do they all leave?" and try to prevent that from happening. If you could make the percentage fallouts smaller, than the game will grow, and advertisements will bear more fruit then they do now.
