A little late because of holydays
here is a debrief of seaon 57 for national team, with european championship.
We won three games against Armenia (112-83) which was the weakest team in the group, against Albania (110-63), and against Latvia (95-85). Latvia had a better roster but we defeated them using TS and an appropriate défense.
Other opponent just were too strong for us to surprise them : Slovakia (85-97), Serbia (89-109), Italy (77-98) and Portugal (92-107).
National team continues to advance step by step and finished the season ranked 51st.
Season 57 had to be the last for NT's legend
Mattias Hjortgren as a starter, but due to bad shapes he only played the first game (26 minuts).
Markus Andersson took advantage of the opportunity and did a great season as small forward starter.
A special thanks for Fieldstar, his trainees
Tommy Fyhrhult and
Markus Andersson have led national team all along the season. They are at the beginning of a superb international career.
Tommy Fyhrhult scored 281 points during the season. With no injure in the last game, he could have joined top scorers all time on a season !
Top scorers all time :
1- Gaudenty Smól (season 45) - 462 points
2- Kent Killmar (season 23) - 353 points
3- Björn Mossling (season 18) - 335 points
4- Fredrik Säfén (season 39) - 329 points
5- Ralf Hägergren (season 10) - 327 points
6- Nils Gustavsson (season 49) - 308 points
7- Nils Gustavsson (season 46) - 303 points
8- Nils Gustavsson (season 42) - 301 points
8- Tomas Fjelmar (season 51) - 301 points
10-Anders Birgersson (season 37) - 291 points
On other outside players,
Fredrik Vikflod began carreer for Sweden. He progressed on some skills that gave him NT level. He has a very special profile, useful for NT.
Tobias Widerling keeps to be a regular starter. Although he is regularly on the transfer market, he has remained in good shape and has formed a efficient duo with Fyhrhult.
Tobias Bokholt keeps to be an important player, that played SG or SF as needed. He effectively compensated bad shapes of Hjortgren and the lack of SF profiles.
Ola Gunnarsson is still trained by the boss, BB-Marin who is very attentive to the needs of the Swedish NT.
Anders Strandblom grows and is becoming an interesting sub for NT. His Swiss manager is motivated and has a good training plan.
Frank Gilltorp is going to become an interesting sub too.
We still lack small forwards.
Kristian Pålsson is only 8 on potential, but his american manager is working hard so that he becomes a backup solution. We cross fingers for his potential to permit it !
On inside players
Patrik Åkesson,
Johan Lannerholt, and
Lars Håkansson continued to mentor youngsters during european championship, then let them play scrimmages.
Charlie Håkansson is the closest to required level. Seppukusaint is giving him last pops.
Love Falkquist keeps to be a helpful sub, close to starter's skills. Sadly it's too late for him to grab them.
Then
Håkan Dallius still needs some pops to be ready, but he has already started efficiently to grap some NT experience.
Jack Stjärna is a future important NT player. He just needs some skills to play more, but is australian manager is working on it.
Marcus Larsson can be another candidate for big men on NT.
We now have a young team base but we need to work for next generation. Especially on outside players.
Smars suggested me an interesting idea to publy NT profiles exemples to help for training plans. I'm working on it, and I will put them on forum.
