Again, points per 100 possessions is strictly what determines the game outcome.

Do not forget Reb, FT (fouls), TO and BLK.

I might have been a bit sloppy with the wording there. But the idea is that whether a shot is a basket or a miss is determined by PP100, and the team ratings are just one of the components in their calculation.

enthusiasm 8 is very low??!

I'm pointing out possible reasons, not delivering judgment about what the enthusiasm actually was.

Again, points per 100 possessions is strictly what determines the game outcome. If they were identical to team ratings, then it wouldn't make sense to have both of them.

It is obviously not up to me to decide whether there was a bug or not. But 'there must be a bug' is not necessarily the only explanation for the situation.


There must be a bug was only a provocation..

anyway, point per 100 shots can't explain 60 rebounds against 40, while my ratings were better and while the BBs said that rebounds are influenced by attitude!

The instrument that is 100% indicative of team strength is points per 100 shots.


and it's funny how they were calculated this time, considering all the circumstances (TIE vs CT, HCA, similar ratings)

Team ratings might give you an idea about how strong a team is, but they are not foolproof. Likewise, CT with very low enthusiasm is not much better than a Normal.


very low enthusiasm is already reflected in the ratings (for what they are worth, i think they're often misleading)

CT with similar ratings should ALMOST never end in a 15 points home loss
well, "almost" is the key word here

i hope this kind of upset won't ever happen to my team

This is correct: PP100 are calculated ex-post based on the shots that are actually taken at this position. You assumption was correct, at least as far as I understand the situation.

Indeed, it will be more precise to say that of everything you can find in the box score, they are the best explanatory factor of the final score.

I mean, obviously the actual determinant of the score is chance, since no matter what the probability of scoring is, whether the shot is actually scored or not depends on how the die rolls. Of course, since we have a sufficient number of repetitions in BB (60-100 shots a game), the final result tends to be much more logical than in HT, for example, where you have 10 or 15 repetitions per match.
