I seem to remember this as well, but I can't remember who said it.

So tell me why there are zero players from the team which is heading the league?

Wth are you talking about? There are 2 players in ASG from the league leading Mylo team.

So basically minutes+quality in the league for that position+attendance.
Minutes will influence the selection heavily.

For proof take a look at my league ASG. 4 selections from team Kilud that has 7 players. 3 in starting lineup. As they get heavy minutes and other teams are managing their minutes more (I have 3 sf-s that are virtually evenly matched).
If everyone else in your league is managing minutes you can prolly get all starting 5 from your own team if you play them above 40 min every game.

I care about my team so ASG player selection does not intrest me at all. I want to win the league not get my players to the ASG.

I vaguely remember something like this too, but I remember it as applying to MVP voting. Don't know about all-star votes.

Right, I remember that now. I would guess though that all-star voting would be run under similar terms for simplicity's sake and because of the similarity in the type of voting required.
