Dear Mike can you clarify me what exactly means the player DMI? How is this calculated? Which function it has? Is it important for us as managers? Which lesson or knowledge can we extract from it?

I've seen it appears to be similar for similar players, however there are few players who has a very high DMI value compared with players who earn as much as double than them. I can't figure an explanation for this.

Thank you. Pablo.

Mike i want to suggest something i see in the cup.
In my opinion, i think draw is not the best way to make matches. For example, i'm a small team in III and i will play in second round with a team of IV division. And on the other side, there are teams of Premier division that in second round plays against each other. (yes, for me is better , but i think is not fair this).
I don't like to critisice without giving any suggestion so perhaps one solution could be to make draws like in Tennis: for example if there are 128 teams, the best team of last seson (the champion of premier league) plays against the 128th team. The second against the 127th team, etc. (like playoffs but with more teams). And of course if one team that is not favourite wins, not modify the scheldue (for example if you have 8 teams -like NBA playoffs- and 8th defeat 1st, then 8th will play against winnner of 4th vs 5th and not against the next better team in ranking).
I hope you understand my idea

Greets

The term DMI stands for Deliberately Meaningless Index. All that I know is that game shape is a very large factor in its calculation. I believe that it was introduced in order to allow managers to confirm that their players received training on Friday mornings, even when none of their players' skills popped.

DMI is not a useful way to compare players. Honestly, I recommend that you ignore it.

This is a very common suggestion, and one that we have considered on more than one occasion.

We actually like the fact that the random matchups do not favor the top teams in each country. We like that lower division teams will usually get to play several easy games before they are matched up with one of the top teams. We also like the fact that sometimes top teams are forced to play each other early in the tournament. While the randomness does lead to some "unfair" situations for some teams, this will generally not be the case for any one team season after season.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that they are random.
