If some of You guys call Ikstens and others overtrained by having skills 17-16-15-10, i feel sorry for You, because your goal of this game, then is 5 line-up guys with 14-14-14 in the main skills and thats it, no more development... this is not the same as in HT, where are those 20+++++++ guys, thats overtrained...

and like in my case, i got Ikstens in draft 3 seasons ago. he had such good skills (7-7-7-7) and potential i started to to train PF and C positions. So every week 4 guys got the training and that´s not what you can call action of farming or just developing one guy. Yes, he was training faster than the others, but thats only great! and the wage pop-up one season ago was so huge (from 49k to 190k), that i wasn´t expecting even close to that and there were no wage calculators. So, in my opinion, the wage calculation formula is not quite right and there should be a change for that in future.

And other thing, the honor to have your player in NT is a nice thing in this game, so it´s a good motivation to managers to train their guys even harder. and even now, with this big wage, i don´t regret training Ikstens and if nobody will buy him this season, i will keep him without any disappointment in my team. Because i have a very average arena (14420) and this season the weekly budget is +40k and by building up somem ore seats, it will be possible for next season to hold on.

He's not poorly trained in the sense he's mono-skilled. In fact, Id say his inside skills are about perfectly balanced. Unfortunately you trained him so well and his cap is so high that his salary becomes prohibitive for most teams to own him.

This isn't your fault of course as you've been a pioneer in this case as he's outpaced in skill what anyone had ever seen before. Other than Josef Ka's excellent work in building a salary estimate calculator (which came only recently), there was no way to know the training/potential system would take Iksten's to what he is today.

Because centers are trained in less skills than guards. I mean, for those who are not interested in playing a big man with low perimeter skills at PG or SG just to raise other "secondaries".

Guards are usually trained in JS, JR, OD, HD, DR and PA, and that leads to multiple lvl13 for example, instead of 3 lvl16 skills.

Sure, there are some guards with 18 JS and 15 OD, but then they are just at the top in 2 skills, maybe 3.

And because salaries grow exponencialy, a 6x lvl13 has a very significantely lower wage then a 3x 15.

If you find a SG with 17 JS, 15 JR, 15 OD, 10 HD, 10 DR and 10 PA, the salary will be around 160k.
