For the first half of the season you can really crank up the bleacher prices, promotion bonus is quite powerful. Don't forget to lower them during the all star break if you have a losing streak though. Lower tier is the same story, but you can price them higher, especially because you don't have that much. Courtside/luxury are more stable.
I'd say go quite high, and adjust after a month (when you can change them again) to have an optimal revenue. And adjust again during the all star break.
All in all it's about the same as in other divisions, it's just that you'll make 200k more =)

Looks like we are both doing well arena-wise this first half from looking on buzzer manager.

I want to say Sunday before the playoffs, but not 100% sure. Could be a Sunday before that. On draft list they will display 'not eligible for playoffs' next to a player on the market if he won't be able to play

Gotta say that trying to purchase decent players now is dang near impossible. Not only are there very few quality players on the market - but most of them are so over priced its not even funny.

Even worse trying to buy trainable players...

Any advice?

Also who the hell is Mod- beanerz?

I guess training is the magic word. The reduction of Free agents and the decreasining numbers of managers has left to the increased prices. And BB want the manager to train players. And as BB finally is BB an economic game. So train and sell players. Problem, managers like me, we are too romantic and want to keep the players we train. So ... up to you, what are you making of this.

This imo is fundamentally the flaw in the game that the BBs aren't recognizing, and unfortunately, there isn't a silver bullet to avoid it. Nobody wants to wait 3 irl years of training before putting together a team. Those who have followed their advice and trying JR and SB on players are only now fully trained, I think I've been training 2-3 years for a 3-2 SB team, and I'm still 6+ months away.
I think they need to eventually double training speeds, and put safeguards to prevent hoarding (which may already be sufficient with the taxes). That way people can put competitive team after a year or two of playing (3-5 seasons), and instead of the past where teams did it through day-trading, they'd be doing it by training.

Edit: And there'd be a lot more experimental teams, to add more flavour to the games

I have come to learn that the only way I can compete is load up with cheap 35yo+ players
This bidding / free agent system is inherently flawed and is really starting to show up now with less and less active players

I think at some point, like others have said, training will need to be changed or sped up, OR the whole player system needs to be changed to a contract type system (like some other sport sims and real sports)

but mainly to your point, load up on old players, seriously, no other way

Thanks for the replies.

I definitely agree that training is the way to go, however it is a slow process. My current state is stuck in Div III - where there appear to be two particular owners with huge stadiums and loads of cash. This likely means I will be "stuck" here for at least two seasons.

Thankfully I enjoy the training component of the game, however I need to try and find a trainee that I really can tie myself too. Currently I have one quality guy and two guys that are only mediocre. I have been actively looking for a trainee but they are either way over priced, have horrible starting skills or from countries I dont want to train for :)

That is the best place to train, and if you want to generate money, just sell one of your trainees and put in a new one.

What kind of trainee you are searching for. For me there is no "horrible starting skills": As you have time, you can buy really cheap and train them properly.
