the thing that is clear from the news (in my opinion) is that they will implement a salary increase for players that are not from your home country.

It's not clear in the least, and the absolute riot raging here is over something that no one knows what will actually happen.

Everyone needs to chill out and await what the changes actually are before throwing a fit.

If the principle is horrible the details doesn't really matter, they will just decide how horrible the implementation will be.

The earlier people can give feedback the better. Just waiting until the details are given before complaining will just have the BBs loosing time.

There are quite a few changes presented, both for this and future seasons, and "everyone" everything, except one thing, the salary change, which seems to upset quite a few (even though not everyone). Still there is problably a reason why one thing is singled out...

It's like they are trying to solve a problem by replacing it with another.

If the principle is horrible

That's assuming it's horrible, which it is not.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Well you don't think so, but quite a few seems to do, and I think people should try (and should be allowed) to argue from their point of you rather than someone elses, e.g. yours.

What's so horrible, and how is it horrible?

If it's going to be HT style, which there's no indication that is what we're looking at exactly, it's an incentive to buy players from your own country, or train players from your own country.

Well i would support more interaction between countries on team level (not just PL) nad for different levels probably. Something like UEFA competitions (european soccer) or simply anything.

The change affects all teams. I think there are not many teams training only their draftees (excluding teams training older 22+ players for wahtever reason) , simply because it is hard to get prospects decent enough (and at the right position) . I'm not saying top or good, just not waste of training.

Well I only have 3 players from my county on my roster and they are merely scrimmage fodder. I like diversity and I'm sure I have one of the most diverse rosters out there, and since I don't know what will happen, I will wait and see, but my stomach tells me to panic. He is usually right. Last night he told me not to do that last shot of Woodford, but I did and guess where I have been most of the day. Yes, the toilet... which is where my budget may end up.

In the game engine, your SG (for example) will no longer be restricted to guarding an opposing SG in a man-to-man defense. In other words, your position in the offense will not have to match your position in the defense.

I wonder if defense will start switching (when screens are set) or if it 'll be about setting orders.
for example:
Player x starting point guard
Player x defending shooting guard

The way it is written I guess it's the second wich BB's plan to implement. Will be interesting.

I hope for the second, partially because it would benefit me I think.

I can imagine third option - coach will adapt and change defensive assignements as he is supposed to do with tactics now.

BTW 1-3-1 is not considered to be a zone, is it? As there are going to be some changes in formulas for zone defenses.
