I like to try and have enough seats so if I do promote , I make enough money to be active. Its not just about where you are now but where you want to be 3 to 5 seasons from now.

Agreed. But needlessly spending on an arena that's too big is money that could have been spent buying players that will actually help you promote. What good is having a 20,000 seat arena in the hopes that you'll make it to the NBBA if you spend all your cash and have to dress a group of scrubs that can't even win in the division you're currently in? Everything in moderation.

I'm pretty sure there's a set attendance limit at each level, but since I don't know what that cap is, I just build more seats and raise prices when I'm selling out or getting close to it.

Agreeed. And also when you think that your team will promote, you could start building your arena in advance so that you don't waste income once you promote to higher division.

and that is what I am saying at least look at the div ahead and build that many seats so you dont have to worry about it when you move up. You will have take a couple or 3 seasons to promote from div 3 to div 2.
