Right now I can do it manually but there isn't an option to do it through bbapi

That can be added rather easily. Remember to put it in the final proposal.

A suggestion from one of the NT coaches:

Since it's painful to check one by one all potential NT players, could bbapi allow NT managers to see skills of players from same country?

So in short; if Bahamas NT coach logs into bbapi and checks a roster.aspx of random team, he can see all skills of Bahamian players.

Since NT coaches already can do that on site, I don't see a reason why they wouldn't in bbapi, that would just ease their painful job of checking one by one all potential NT players.

i STRONGLY disagree with this suggestion

why? for this reason (217925.1)

one thing is being able to manually check a player (and you receive a warning if a player is temporarily put in the NT)
knowing every skill of every player of a country whenever you want is another thing

Seriously? Do I really need to explain it?

(217925.1)

Here YOU ARE logging on random site, with YOUR data, and you risk giving all your players skills to random user.

(173460.10)

It's only for NT managers. They already CAN SEE the skills of players from same country in ANY team, and the suggestion is to do same for bbapi.

forgot to reply to this part:

if he only would want to check them all, he would, and what gives you that warning? Uhm, nothing?

Moreover, my suggestion eliminates (to some degree) the need of such sites that can steal your data, as NT managers wouldn't need to rely on some strange sites, rather they could do it on their own (with right tool of course).

They can't do this already. At least, not for free. They have to add the players to the NT roster first, and there's an enth. penalty to the NT every time they drop a player,. At the very least, if it were implemented in the bbapi, then the query would also have to carry the enth penalty per-player scouted, which i think is more likely to cause problems than solve them ("i didn't know scouting this team would incur 4 enth penalties!"/"I didn't mean to run my bbapi script!").

I don't like the concept of having one player being able to see all information from all players in a country.

If you have a site you could easily farm the NT credentials and harvest the information.

I also think that the support site is part of the community around the game.

Mhm, wasn't aware of that, so in this case I admit that my suggestion should have no place.

Sounds like you should change your access key more frequently if you're worried about this.

And I agree with you on one thing: giving NT coaches the ability to see players makes it very hard for those users to use another country's bbapi applications safely, since the other country could see their NT roster (not every player from the country, as I said above, there's no way this can be done fairly in the bbapi, but they could see the whole NT roster if the coach is given access to that). Probably the surest solution is to strongly encourage NT coaches to not use any bbapi sites that they don't trust.

Alternatively, a more complicated solution would be allow NT coaches access to dedicated "country" accounts. So, whoever is elected NT coach for the US would become the owner of the USA_NT account (or similarly, USA_U21) and would be able to set the access key for that account. This would allow them to keep their team and NT information separate. This seems like a lot of work though.
