Yes. In fact, you generally lose one or two games building up enth. However the more games you lose the less chance you have to get promoted without winning the title.

I remember when I was in D5 and my 5k shooting guard was one of best players in the league lol... looks like some of these are actually becoming competitive at the top. In reference to your question, I'm a big fan of banking enthusiasm but since you have a big lead in your division, I'd normal against the first one and CT the second one. That way you still have pretty decent enthusiasm for defense in game 2 instead of using it all up on the first guy.

Beating Deathmaple will give you edge in getting HCA in finals so that's definitely the more important game.

The only problem is - he can't beat Death. Death is too strong.

i usually don't play Ct during the season, but in your case it looks quite attractive. Important is that maybe the next 2 games, are quite easy opponents. But you win a lot of your homegames with 30+ points so the chanche isn't bad that is it like that.

And even when you win the game against your rivals, and lose one game after that, it is a TIE betwen those teams, if you just win the other games like then and loose against them you are behind.

And you have enough time to build up enthusiam, in your conference games before the PO.

The main thing is that promotion depends on winning the Finals, and HCA in the finals would be a great help. If these are really the only two games you have the possibility of losing, there's no reason at all to put extra effort in against the Wizards; you should have no problem having enough of a PD advantage to get home court in the Finals if they advance. Likewise, if you lost to DC and beat Deathmaple, it would also come down to PD at worst (if DM beat DC in the return match). Obviously, if you could lose other matches, that's a whole different story.

DM has two inside guys on the TL, so you'll likely need to look at the roster and ratings they put up after the changes more. But they're definitely an outside focused team. The thing that stands out is that their PG is not a true PG, but is considered a SG for best position. Given the relatively low offensive flow compared to their other ratings, and your quite nice perimeter defense ratings, I might go ahead with the FCP. I have nowhere near the players you do (hooray for being in a less-stout V!), and my last opponent is nothing like DM, but I was able to force 34 turnovers with FCP against his inept(medium) flow.

I would say keep an eye on DM and see if he sells those players and brings in any replacements. I'd personally give the CT + FCP combo a try for no other reason than to see if you'll have a chance with it in the Finals. I certainly don't see beating them any other way as things currently stand.
