What are you training Sammons on right now as I see he plays PF most weeks? Thought he was going to get a full season of training his guard skills? Even at PF, he isn't getting any single position training at the big man skills? Seems odd.

I would assume one on one for forwards?

I wouldn't worry about him for now, he probably has no shot at making the U21 team. You'd have to wait for him to be 24 or 25 and see if he has a shot at the NT team.

Keep training DR.... mediocre is barely good enough for DIV III it results in like1.5-2 TOs a game/36 mins..... finish off handling and Driving if you can or get them to Respectable atleast this season and then focus on his primaries

I'd disagree with needing to train Driving now. My trainee Worley started out with atrocious driving and I didn't train it at all his first season. When I started training some One v One last season he popped pretty quickly, got three pops up to Inept. He's gotten one more and now sits at mediocre, by the end of the year he'll be Average. Good enough for the national team - probably not. But it's pretty easy to play him at PF and get some more pops in driving.

I would focus on the things that are hard - playing him at PG when you aren't in Div IV will be hard - work on his passing now. Then work on the stuff that really matters - his skills in the paint. If you do a couple weeks of One v One each season his driving and handling will come up over time.

Off topic: Can anyone explain what happens if you use Scouting combine and Group Demonstration for the draft.

Scouting Combine: Every player in the upcoming draft class will show up to be measured. You can send a scout to the combine to learn the ages and heights of all 48 players in the upcoming draft class.
Group Demonstration: In order to help get their names out there, all of the players your scout estimated to be 1-ball or 2-ball prospects have offered to arrange a demonstration of their skills. This option is equivalent to scouting each of these players once, though it will not provide any additional information for players you have already scouted.

Basically what it says on the Scouting page itself.

I tried group demonstration a few seasons ago and it basically it gives you the game stats, height, age and I believe Star Rating of the players ranked 30+ or so. It wasn't super helpful as most of the players it scouts are kinda garbage, and you cant see there potential. But decent if you get a low pick, will help you find some gems in the lower ranked players.

I'm in league IV and will have a low pick would it be a good idea if I use group demonstration? I'm not sure i'll get a good player.

Another question: Are computer controlled teams good at choosing players for the draft?

err, just to clarify, the scouting combine gets you the height and age of all 48 players, something I think is very useful. Group demonstration is the equivalent of scouting all of your 1 or 2 ball prospects (ie. the bottom 19 players based on rumours) once. And if you have done the scouting combine and have more than 9 18 year olds in your bottom 19, then I think it can be a good idea to use (if you then have enough scouting points to further scout the good players for their potential).
As far as computer controlled teams, they are usually atrocious at drafting since they go into it with their pre-set draft list (which is different than yours), and is very close to being just random.
