Same thing to me. A week ago my backup PG was hurt and out for 2 weeks. Then in last weeks scrimmage backup SF is hurt and out for two weeks. Then yesterday's game my starting SG is hurt for two weeks.

When players play more than 90 minutes per week, they are very prone to injuries in upcoming games. more often they do, more often they are. Can protect them somewhat by not having them offensive focuses where they get fouled more often... but its a crap shoot. best way to do, get depth, and manage minutes.

I'd like to add another reason to others already posted: if your player is much better at shooting or driving than the player guarding him is in OD or ID, he will get fouled more and have more chance at being injured.

in your internal team structure that may fit, that the best offensiv option draws more fouls since he shoot more often, but generally a bad shooting team draws more fouls then an awesome offensive team which slides through defence.(even when the totals are pretty much the same)
