the bait would be the players, Orlando have to give him away when they want something back. But currently i don't see a better deal then the rumored offer from Houston from the Nets. Especially since they need to overpay to make the offer possible, when i see it right.

And even then:
Williams 20 Mio +Johnson 22 Mio + Howard 20 Mio + and probadly Wallace 10 Mio = 72 Mio for four players and imho with a lower quality then the Heat, who didn't have an easy way to the title. Basically no bench, which mean higher injury risk, even when i like the Howard Williams combo, but i don't like the Johnson Williams Combo so much since both need the ball in there hands but Hopefully william get it most times.

I meant that now that Williams re-signed, the Joe Johnson deal can be approved. Once that deal is approved, the Nets can deal Johnson to Orlando in a package for Howard. The problem wasn't money (although I agree that that is WAY too much for those four players), at least now Brooklyn has something of value to send to Orlando since they lost everything in the trade for Wallace.

I'm fully expecting to see Wallace and Johnson (and other considerations, most likely to include lots of money) sent to Orlando even though I believe the Rockets offer the better deal for the Magic as well.

I believe including Johnson is impossible, when there is no 3 team trade also i doubt Orlando want him as a Centerpiece for the post Howard time(imho he is to expensive and to bad to be good, and to good to be bad for early pick). Also Atlanta want to fight for Howard to, and kicked Johnson of for that i think that shows that Orlando don't want him that bad.

The rumors say the net offer Brooks, Lopez, Humpries and first round picks of 2013,2015 and 2017. Imho paying 70 millions for just three players and basically have "no" bench left and few draft pick wouldn't be a good move.

All good points, but people also said the Heat gambling their futures on 3 players and no bench wouldn't work. Honestly, if they could keep all 4, and build a semi-credible bench, they probably wouldn't have the cap space to sign or retain those future draft picks anyway. This looks like an all or nothing strategy... worked for the Celtics and Heat.

Also, this could be the set up for Howard to come to Brooklyn for 2013-14 once he's unrestricted.

the most people saw then as contender, i think some as clear favorites other not. overall it isn't a easy way to then, BUT the heat got James, Wade and Bosh.

James > Howard

Wade >> Williams

Bosh > Johnson

I don't think that they can do the same with less talent.

For me the Hawk have much better chanches for Howard then the Nets now:

- they can offer something right now Teague + horford(who is popular in orlando as i heard)

- have lot of Capspace, and maybe a bad enough season for the draft when it comes to FA

- is close to Howard home, who is good buddy to Hawks Josh Smith.

I think you are selling the Nets players a bit short. Wade is definitely a better 2 than JJ, but Williams and Howard would expose the Heat's deficiency at PG and C. But this convo doesn't even matter until the trade happens.

As far as the Hawks having a better shot, Howard has made it known that Brooklyn is his only option. The Magic have the option to trade him of course, but the receiving team would more than likely want confirmation that Howard would sign a new long-term deal after the trade. Because of that, the Nets still are probably the best trade option for Orlando even though they lack the pieces.

To me yall, Rockets and the Hawks look like they're gonna be in a tanking competition this season. I want the Rockets to tank. They're always not good enought for the playoffs, but they're not good enough for a good draft pick. It's just stupid! They should either A. Go for some big name guy. Or B. Tank to get a Big-name guy. Just that simple!!!!!!!!!!! Rockets are crazy, no one to build on, nothing oh just heard they're oing for Lin. Ok, something to build there, but we need more!

you really thiink that Howard is better James, or the second best player william have nearly the same impact then Wade on a team?

And Bosh still was a top 20 player, while Johnson has just a top 20 contract(yeah even top 1).

Honestly

The hawks wiped like 30 mil of their books and got expiring contracts. If CP3 doesn't resign with the Clips him and Howard may end up in Atlanta. Now imagine a CP3/Some SG/JSmoove/Horford/D12 lineup that can be the most dangerous group of guys ever assuming they get a good SG

LeBron is probably the best player in the NBA right now...

But, Howard is easily the most dominant big man right now and Williams is an easy top 5 PG... higher depending on who's talking. The Heat doesn't have a true 1 or 5. Player for player, I agree that the Heat players are probably "ranked" higher, but matchup for matchup, both squads would be a wash in my opinion. Still, this doesn't mean anything without the Howard trade.

I can imagine bynum might be dominant too, if he would be the center of his team like Dwight. And Bigs in generell, most likely the PF Lebron would be my first choiche and Love shows also a dominance below the basket.

Williams is an easy top 5 PG

for me he that is at least close.

Rose, Paul and Rondo are most likely the top 3. Westbrook would be number 4 in my list, even when he lacks a bit the PG game but bring a lot skills on the table who helps the team. Number 5 for me would be Tony Parker who have comparable stats then Williams in a more succesful team.
And even Nash and Wall should get a mention here.
